!!! SOLUTION !!!

For those who cannot get the spotlight work on different vehicles, make sure your vehicles.ide's ingame vehicle names are actually police (or police2 etc.).

I had coquette written for every cvpi I have (since that's the closest sound to the crown vic v8 sound) and that's why it didn't work.

Can you fix this in the next version, that it doesn't check in game name, but instead .wft name or something like that? Or will it work if I add coquette to the spotlight.ini?

Thanks for the tip. It was getting annoying that it kept switching back to read only. Hopefully this fixes that too, or avoids the need all together.

thats the most common issue is that when you try to modify something it throws an access denied error because its a "locked" folder

Do we know what is the cause of "System.AccessViolationException"? That's the one that kills my game. If it's because of the Read Only that keeps reassigning itself, I'm going to be annoyed.

Edit: Actually, the way it's showing up means it shouldn't affect files, according to the old interwebs.

Sorry to go off-topic everyone, but Dhruv got banned? Damn, that's too bad.

Anyway, I'm having a little trouble mapping Sgt. Kanyo's LAPD CVPI MX7000. If anyone has a good mapping for it, please let me know.

Thanks.

@Original Light

Why did he get banned anyway?

@Jorge

So any chance for a newer version, or is there a way to enable the spotlight for the coquette and every other car? I tried adding it in the .ini file, but it didn't work.
