  • Time for me to import a Crown Vic from the States, throw a monitor in front of the drivers seat, put my G27 wheel, pedals and shifter in, find a toughbook and wait for this mod

Is the client going to work on Linux? Unfortunately I don't have a second windows pc so if not I'll probably miss out on this one. Looks really interesting though!

I'm not planning on it, but it shouldn't be too hard to write. I'll have documentation for the API attached in the final version, so anyone with an interest can build a compatible client.

Any update on this?

Beta is going pretty well - haven't had any bugs pop up. Assuming I don't have any issues, we should be releasing very soon.

Yay I can't wait! Will you have instructions to get this up and running as I am not that tech-savy when it comes to ports and HTTP?

I will - I'll make it as user-friendly as possible, but reading the README is definitely a good idea :)

This just opened a whole world of great ideas now that you can simulate using a police laptop on a real laptop. Some ideas that came to mind in additional to running peds and plates were...

  • writing tickets
  • writing reports
  • alpr (it could show the plate number of each car and show if there are any warnings with that plate). Although probably impossible to do wouldn't it be awesome if someone could setup a script that takes ingame pictures of the plates in real time and sends them to the laptop as it is processing the plate.

As i come up with more ideas I will edit the post.

^^^THIS LOOK AT THIS

I just wanted to encourage you. This is looking great. This adds real detail to RP police work. Tickets, reports, etc would be great in the future. However, I look forward to seeing this first release!

This definitely has the potential to be the successor to the old LCPDFR MDC, if anyone remembers it. There was another, Pro MDC, that was in development at one time, but I believe he isn't working on it anymore. Hopefully we see some more neat stuff come out of this, I'll be looking forward to it!

Same with me. This looks like a brilliant mod, expanding the far reaches of realism for GTA V. Looking good so far :)
