It appears that Rockstar have dropped an update again! All Script mods and Car mods along with RageHook Plugin seem to be working ok. I had issues at first, since the new update - but  managed to get everything up and running again.

Not sure why all these people i see talk about how the new update fucked everything. Everything in my game works flawlessly and i've updated.

Yeah RPH works just fine with the new update.

To breathe life back into this thread. Wasn't there an update released today/yesterday? Does anyone know if it requires all mods to be reinstalled again?

Yes there has been a further update (last few days). We will need to wait for Rage Plugin Hook to be updated in order to use LSPDFR and other Rage pluggin mods on the latest version of GTA V.  Hopefully if you have made relevant backups or have a second GTA V directory for all your mods - you can still play LSPDFR and use all the mods, whilst waiting for the updates.

 

Script Hook has since been updated.

Ah, nice... Have you played it? Do I need to reinstall all the vehicle mods? I don't have a back-up because I wasn't done installing vehicles, and I wasn't too happy with the mods anyway, so it's certainly not the worst thing ever if I have to start again ;)

You will at least have to add whatever is in the update folder/dlcpacks that was added and change the dlc list, you might have to update the gameconfigfile as well. probably better off just recopying the entire mods folder starting fresh....no hiccups that way.

I've updated the recent script hook and other mods that were recently updated as well. I must be the unfortunate one.

 

The game starts fine. It's when loading story mode is when I get this message:

Wait. Does that mean that following the GTA V update (12th Dec approx.) that LSPDFR works on the new updated version?

It's always a bit finicky to get GTA V working post-update, I'd suggest maybe try moving your Mods folder out of GTA V, launch it. If it runs fine, then you know there's something wrong with your mods, and if not then it'll be the Ragehook, Scripthook, LSPDFR scripts causing the crash.

The current game version is not supported.

That's because they have a back-up version of the game, which is before the update, and they just launch that. I'm in the same situation as you currently  Next time back it up, and then you can launch it even when Rockstar update. 

Clarification: in case you haven't noticed, Installed game version and Latest game version are 944, but RagePlugin Hook hasn't been updated to work with version 944, it only supports 877, you'll have to wait for RagePluginhook to release the new update, shouldn't be too much longer now (fingers crossed)

Thanks for the info. So a trial and error type of deal.  Reading the Script Hook V page on GTA 5 mods. Many other are having the same issue. Not sure if it's related or not. Again Thanks for the info. I'll start removing mods.

FYI: I tried putting a new Mods folder in (because I deleted the old one) and I had the exact same issue. Fatal crash, after launching Story Mode. When I removed my mods folder, it worked as normal. You don't necessarily have to remove each mod one by one, if you just cut and paste the Mods folder onto your desktop (or somewhere else) then launch it.

Yeah, that looks like mine (other than a couple of scripts and the Mods folder). This is the problem to GTA V, once they update the game then it causes issues. It's annoying but I guess there are so many users which play online.

Good to know I wasn't as disorganized as I thought . LOL I don't play online as much any more. The clan(if that what you want to call it) abandoned GTA V all together. I was getting tied of all the hackers also. So single player is more my choice. With the LSPDFR makes it more enjoyable. For me anyway. Now if RS would just live things alone.

Aha, I know  I've had GTA since release date, and I've NEVER been online. So the updates for me are nothing other than annoying, and since I have extra police cars as well as custom handling etc. it means every time these updates happen, I have to change it ALL again . 

 

No problem, I hope that it fixes the issue. Also, it is worth making a back-up for each working version, so at least when RS decides to release a new stupid update, you won't have to go through it all again.

if you are running an updated version of the game, and your scripthook is outdated, that is likely what is causing gta V to crash.

 

as others have stated,  ragehook isnt up to date yet with the current version of the game, so if you did not back up the game, you wont be able to play lspdfr or us rage hook until they release a compatible update.
