That reminds me, the other day, I saw my local Highway Patrol with an unmarked Caprice, and my local Department with a Ford Taurus test vehicle.

lol @ the fact the chief has it and he won't drive it as much as a patrolman. Oh well. That's capitalism for you. Give the guys who don't do much work all the expensive crap.

Meh, my county Sheriffs office just got a hold of one and it's currently waiting on lights and equipment install.

County of just a hair over 25,000 people.

wish some one would make a model of the 2013 or 2012 Utility PI. Also a police department by me got them right when they came out they were one of the 1st in Wisconsin or in fact Central America.

God that looks sick.

I think i could get used to the new Taurus model's, they are big and bulky just like the CVPI, but more compact, but they also look like they could roll easier, i asked an HRP Officer when they would be switching from the CVPI, and she had no idea what i was talking about, so i'm pretty sure they will run the CVPI into the ground before they new car's.

The Lowell MA Police have been using a new Caprice for the past year. It is currently part of the Traffic Enforcement Division.

So basically, now they gonna be standing outside to use the computer, it sucks for they protection u know,.....

If they are going to completely change the LAPD vehicles, the least they could do is use the LAPD StreetHawk from the CVPI that the LAPD is well known for..

also, how are they supposed to put anything in the trunk? that car look's really small lol, pretty bad they would have to go outside to even change their minds lol, lot's of Officer's are probably pretty pissed the computer is outside.

The computer is housed in the trunk, but the interior of the vehicle includes a touchscreen monitor and keyboard in the center console/dash area.
