I see people "trick" out their CVPIs all the time and I wanna drive them off the road with my pushbumper. 

Okay maybe not really cause that's highly illegal, but metaphorically speaking, I would love to do it.

The gentlemen is too hood for his own good. 

New door handles, rain/sun guards on all 4 doors, and swapped out the chrome grille for the warmer days ahead.

See, that's the problem. Wheelchair access, while something that we should not take for granted should we become cripples ourselves, unfortunately means the demise of the more utilitarian, famous means of transportation. Sadly, with the lack of the Crown Victoria, especially in the NYPD, New York doesn't look tough and cool anymore - it actually looks embarrasing. The same can be said for the death of the Checker cab.

 

The same goes for our Routemaster. In 2006, they were mostly taken off from London streets because of multiple aging issues, including the problem of disability and health and safety. Now that the NBFL has had it's doors locked for health and safety, too, and is also not being bought again, there's no point in bringing them back - health and safety, although a virtue, has gone mad, as they say.

I don't think we should feel guilty or angry about anything. The car had a 32-year production run. And were still incredibly common up until 2014. That's a 35-year run for a single car, that's an incredibly long time. Also consider the fact that the Crown Vic almost died multiple times before 2011. Most notably, 2005.

However, the 5,424 Crown Victorias sold in January 2007 far exceeded the 3,526 of the newer Five Hundred (rebranded as the Taurus in 2008) which was a more technically advanced full-size car with similar passenger space and better fuel economy." Totally what they didn't want to happen, but I'd say we had the car a long time. Sure, it could have been produced another five years if they wanted to make the investments, but it was due for a complete overhaul to bring it to 2012+ standards.

Never really seen any Civilian Package ones. Mostly LE and Taxi Versions I've seen.
