New Callout Pack - Ideas Needed

Recommended Posts

How about surveillance, as in known drug dealer in the area, observe dealer before making an arrest. if spotted before hand have him either run, or shoot out,Or give up, or when trying to arrest him without a weapon pulled in normal arrest have him resist you and run. And when run by any way possible as in foot pursuit turned to car jacking turned to high speed pursuit. etch.

Would be cool to have an event where it would have multiple out comes just to keep it interesting.

That would be pretty cool!  I'm definelty gonna add that

How about some callouts that spawn in the homeless camp near paleto bay?  There could be a murder or a riot or drug activity.  it just seems like a great location that I've never seen anyone use.

Yeah.  For this callout pack, I want to include callouts/locations that havent been used before, or rarely used.  This pack will be unique and special.  Thank you to everyone that has pledged ideas so far! @vt1032 @Chillinbill @Suffolk County Skin Co @NeulandInternet @HankVoight @winglesschip209 @fireboy6117 @ETFStorm

Well, might be a bit too Late but I have an idea no one else had before, I think

What about playing the missions of GTA V out of Police view? E.g. You have to respond to an attack on Fib building.

What Do you think about that?

Just to give you a heads up, I'm in the process of developing Coastal Callouts which will already contain just a couple of the ideas suggested here, including a very complex train related callout, illegal port activity, and various person/item in water type calls. I certainly don't want to discourage you from developing any ideas you might wish to pursue, but wanted to let you know that those are already in progress so you can decide whether to pursue those ideas on your own or not.

Sounds like an ambitious project! Good luck,  and feel free to come chat with other LSPDFR modders on our discord for tips.

To add to what parks has said, be careful with your planning. You don't want to rip ideas from mods that already exist as you'll upset other developers. At least 5 of your ideas in your OP already exist, 2 of them being already part of LSPDFR itself. Several of the suggested ideas have been implemented as well.

Unless you plan to do these differently and thus make them seem a lot like different callouts, it would be better to not reinvent the wheel and instead implement callouts you've not seen done yet.

Nonetheless good luck with your project :)

See as much as I like the idea of these callouts a lot of them have already been done, I personally do not see a need for Pursuit in Progress & Pursuit of Armed Suspects seeing as these are both filled by the base of LSPDFR currently. I think it would be nice to add some really low level callouts as well, Domestic Disturbance, and normal stuff you'd see police officers respond to. I feel like there is a lot that could be done with this, look at some of the LCPDFR callouts and perhaps take some inspiration from those, besides for that I feel like you're leading this pack in an overall good direction. Good luck, if you need a tester I would be happy to test it and would enjoy using it in some of my videos. Not sure if this all is possible or if someone has already said/made this (I'm in school, and don't really wanna read right now) but here's some ideas

  • Man with a gun (Mental)
  • Another Mental (Investigation, thinks someone stole his stuff)
  • Stolen car
  • Officer involved car accident (Hit & run)
  • House fire
  • Reports of shots fired
  • Investigate a possibly arsonist
  • Investigate a possibly burglary in progress (Building alarm goes off at FBI building or somewhere you can go inside, and not a gas station...)
  • Possible gang fight (Fist fight, melee weapons, pistols, etc)
  • Stop a gang member from tagging a building (His gang buddies are there too... They'll back HIM up)
  • Officer ambushed at a call
  • Active shooter inside a building or strip mall.
  • Barking/vicious dog call
  • Male reporting to have had inter-course with a female that is possibly sexually infected (Told after the fact)
  • Drunk male fighting patrons at the golf course or outside of bars.
  • Fatal hit & run
  • Road rage
  • Road rage with firearm
  • Stolen item (Suspect runs up to female or male victim, robs them, then continues to run away)
  • Disorderly conduct call
  • Disturbance of peace
  • Regular warrant
  • Serving a court order/warrant on someone who's enraged (Possibly armed, or gets armed. Firearm or melee)
  • Raid on a known gang hang out
  • Failure to pull over (Traffic stop)
  • Failure to comply
  • Failure to Move over
  • RP reporting a vehicle failed to yield to them while walking across a road (Pedestrians always have the right of way... NO MATTER WHAT)
  • Domestic disturbance (RP advising possible gun, possible knife involved, possible punches being thrown right now)
  • Suspect ran from police (Searching the area)
  • Suspect ran from police (Arrive on a traffic stop as backup... Suspect begins to flee once you step out of the vehicle. You have to chase)
  • Assault (Neighbors says they were assaulted by other neighbor)
  • Assault with a deadly weapon (RP advises they were assaulted while pumping gas at a station, or outside of a store.)
  • Stolen firearm, possibly armed & dangerous (Subject robs or steals a firearm out of the gun store in LS)
  •

There's still loads of calls you could do! Law enforcement isn't just guns & glory... There's boring or just plain uninteresting calls. I'd love for some callouts where it's actually realistic to the calls a regular officer would respond to.

More ideas (I'm sorry :D)

- electricity Blackout (You have to assist the traffic)

- Person calling the police because his neighbors are partying to loud

- Person who lost orientation (old person or tourist)

- Animals kept in inhumane conditions

- Person insulting the police

- Dog left in a car during while its hot (you have to free him, then find the owner )

- Person photographing people without their permission

And what about doing some work for the Image of the LSPD?

Like asking people on the Street what they think about LSPD. ( It's not really a callout  its more an extra).

If I "copy" other callouts, I will make sure that they are different enough that it doesn't cause any problems :)  Thanks for all the support guys!

Yeah the pursuit callouts will be removed.  I do like the idea of having small low level callouts, but I would also love to include the high level ones, as they are normally more exciting!

When Im ready for testers, Ill send you the file!  Thanks :)

For the person lost orientation, you could place a waypoint to the correct spot, and thats how you finish the call.  Thats a neat idea.  Dog left in car is already made (Callout from: http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/9794-agency-callouts/)

Asking people what they think about the LSPD would be a neat feature.  I dont know if Ill spend my developing time on this atm though.  Maybe in the future :)

Cool dude, nice to know that you're listening. Only reason I was suggesting more low level callouts is because that is what police will respond to most frequently. I do love high level callouts as well, so keep up the good work man.

  • Officer Down - Go check the officers condition, or protect him until EMS arrive, has multiple outcomes including a traffic stop gone wrong, then you'd have to track down said vehicle.
  • Homeless People - Homeless people are causing a disturbance, go and intervene.
  • People creating a disturbance for the Los Santos/San Andreas Transportation Authority - You'd have to go to one of the stations and speak to a suspect who is refusing to follow the orders of the LSTA.
  • Injured Civillian - Respond to reports of some one who has been injured, await EMS arrival.
  • Supervisor Assistance Requested - Say you want to act as if you're a Lieutenant, Sergeant, etc and a lower ranked officer is requesting your assistance for someone who is  being unruly. (Traffic Stop, or etc)
  • Mugging - Respond to reports of a mugging.

Perhaps add some ambient events? If so heres some:

  • Person with a weapon walking down the street
  • Fist fighting
  • Mugging (You've witnessed it before it's called in)
  • Vehicle Theft
  • Stabbing
  • Drug Dealing
  • Prostitute
  • Unleashed dog ( I don't believe this is possible considering GTA Doesn't come with leashes for dogs by default)
  • Jaywalking (Walking at a non-crosswalk area)
  • Person using emergency lane
  • Random traffic stops (Might be hard to do, you could get out and just assist)

I'll be thinking of more while I'm at school today, trust me. Also, remember don't take on more than you can chew! I myself will be looking into creating a plugin myself, my first focus will replicating TicketTime by Finkone.

Most of those call wont be included, cause they have been done before, but the ambient events sound cool!  I will probably make the ambient events after the callouts are complete though.

Thanks!  Its true.  I hear to many stories about low - level calls escalating fast.  Ill try to add some of that variation to them as well!

How about reports of vandalism and graffiti, where you have to investigate and find the people responsible.

No problems, I've just looked back through the PDF for Code 3 callouts and reports of vandalism isn't in this pack. I was going to say I've had it installed for ages and I've never had that callout before lol.

Can you highlight which post it says it in, I don't see anything about vandalism being in the pack already, just something that was asked if it was going to be planned... The closest is callout already in the pack is the unknown trouble which is usually just people calling the police to be a nuisance.
