Today I would like to showcase my newest callout pack I'm working on:

It's been at least 3 months since my last update and I've made a lot of improvement!  Here's a quick list of what's included now:

  • Security Camera footage of crime scene (if available)
  • Interrogation methods fully implemented
  • Dialog method implemented
  • Rewriting of last three stages + new stage for requesting warrant
  • Social media page for victim with real-time information
  • Final stage changed to swat raid of location
  • And many, many bug fixes!

Spoiler

UPDATE 12/30/16

It's been a long time but I can tell you we're getting close!!  I've spent a lot of my time completely rewriting a TON of stuff. There are only a few bugs left for me to iron out, then I'd like to focus on ensuring replayability and variation.  CSI, Hospital, Medical Examiner, and the Police Station are all completed at this point for the most part.  Now I'll be working on the core of the case - talking to suspect(s), the victim's family, and anything else that may be important.  Here's a test video showing the interrogation feature that will be implemented!  (Obviously the text will be completed an there will be more than one question!).

UPDATE 11/13/16

I've basically rewritten a lot of the stages!  Now (as you can see in the pictures below) the scenes are MUCH more in depth!  Work still continues on creating more replayability and ensuring that all the data coincides (e.g. you don't have a girl victim but they call her a male).  I have also began the development of the interrogation portion which will allow the player to really help vary the experience!  In addition there have been a ton of bug fixes and stability improvements!

UPDATE 10/9/16

The pre-alpha testing has been going well!  I've gotten some fantastic feedback that will help make this better than ever!  I've also gotten new artwork from 55charlie that is amazing!
Development is going well as well, I've done some reformatting and added a lot of ambient features.  Work is slow, but steady!

UPDATE 9/11/16

The pre-alpha is out!  It is only available for well-known developers.  Please do not ask me for the pre-alpha version.  This version is bare, however it contains all the important parts that will be utilized in future updates!  Development is going well, and I'm super excited to showcase the callout to you soon!

UPDATE 9/6/16

Everything is going well!  Sexual Assault is in pre-alpha stage!  I hope to continue adding new features, randomness, and other things to the callout!  It will take some time to ensure that the callout is up to my standard, however know that work is progressing smoothly!!

***PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME TO TEST THE CALLOUT(S), I WILL ASK FOR TESTERS AT A LATER TIME.  THANKS!***

UPDATE 8/3/16

Work on the pack is going smoothly!  I have been working closely with @LtFlash who has designed a ScriptManager and EvidenceManager specifically for this callout pack (but is available and useful to any callout here).  With this new design comes a restart from basically scratch.  I've been working fairly diligently on the Sexual Assault callout and have basically completed the CSI stage and am currently working on the next stages.  Below you will find a flowchart (blurred out, because I'm not revealing any secrets...) of the first 2/3 of the callout.  Keep in mind, all of these parts take place before you even meet the suspect!

I hope to bring a release to you by the end of the year.  However don't consider that a release date, it's just a tentative timeline.

You might notice the percentage is only at 25%.  That seems low, but a lot of what I'm doing now will help make development easier later on for me, so I hope to see that percentage grow shortly!

ORIGINAL POST (UPDATED WITH ACCURATE PERCENTAGES)
This pack will feature at its release three callouts:
1. Murder
2. Sexual Assault

3. A secret....

The aim of this pack is to bring detective style policing to Los Santos.

These callouts will be in depth -- requiring skills that a real police officer uses like attention to detail, questioning of suspects and determining if they are lying or not, and waiting for information (callouts will span over time and will reappear later on and continue from where they left off).

I will be working with @Albo1125 (most likely) later on in the development (once he gets more freetime, haha) to incorporate some ideas he had as well.

Current Status:
-Murder: 5%
-Sexual Assault: 95%

-Secret: 0%

I will continue updating this page as development continues!

Thank you everyone for your support!

@fiskey111 Love Secondary Callouts, sad to see no more additions to it, but this looks exciting and promising. Can't wait to try this out and follow along for updates..

omg this would be amazing, and if you made it super in depth, like la noire did, where you have to drive around town and talk to different people for the same case, there wouldnt be words to properly describe a mod like that 10e^100000/10

Just as an update on the progress -

Progress is going smoothly; I have currently began creating a ScriptController that will, independently from LSPDFR, call these "callouts" and allow me to control what parts occur when.

I have about 90% finished the Crime Scene Investigation portion (simply need to add the rest of the variation, which will take some time).

Note that with this, you will be able to determine what evidence is important to pick up and what should be left behind.  This will allow me to base your performance off whether or not you collected all the important evidence.

Dude! This is AWESOME!!!

I love the idea of this. LA Noire was one of my favorite games. I always wished there was a modern version of it. Back before we had LSPDFR, I always tried to think of ways to implement a LA Noire style callout system. This is delivering on that fever dream, and I'm stoked to see where this goes!

Well, finally a reason to use all the unmarked vehicles I downloaded! :whistling:

I was thinking to offer you my help writing some plots for the cases, from the start to the end, through evidences and other detective's stuffs.

If interested, write me in pvt!

any progress thus far in the week + 1 day you last updated us on progress?

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

Well, I've just returned home from some out-of-state business, so all I have completed so far is devising a method to save data between the callout as well as over sessions.
