Captions very annoying - any alternatives?

I hate it when I get it wrong, so time consuming. The old one where all you had to do was type in a number was very fast. Please can we have an option to switch to this? I am mass downloading loads of mods to re-do my patch 757 of gta...

I mean... I saw an extension for Chrome that bypasses them but you have to pay.

Or you can just take a few seconds out of your life and check the correct boxes lol.

That sounds like a scam if I ever heard one

@N4Cer I guess you can thank the guy who brought CAPTCHA's back from a few months ago, he downloaded his own mod like 3,000 times wasting the bandwith just so he has a large number of downloads.

or they eventually would of came back... but I remember that day is when they came back soooo...

Did they not realize that download count per user for each file can be and most likely is audited? that's one quick way to get banned.

Yup. I didn't mean get rid of captchas, just wondering if there is an alternative.

Nice reasoning bro!

The next update to our downloads system will reduce the CAPTCHA interval to once per day maximum for some users (will be determined via post count, IP history and other records).

That's such a great idea! The creativity and execution in the community blows me away...

Yeah lol, but when do-ing my install I have 100-150 tabs of gta5-mods and lcpdfr open, and the downlooads can be a little time consuming, especially with captchas. I ignore it and move on. Some installs take long, only for me to lose it in my boiling hot room (thanks watercooling!) and not even play realisticaly, as I slowly roast. Boy, I miss the LCPDFR days on my old potato.

what?? FRGamer replied to my thread!!!! :D

lmao, legend quote. That's my Albo.

note: I changed the title of this thread to 'Captchas can be a little inconvenient, any alternatives?' But it didn't work for some reason. I did realise my mistake, don't want to be demanding or arrogant at all.

We've improved the test so that the CAPTCHA only has to be completed once every 30 minutes. This should make long download sessions a little easier!

Thank you so much bro, you're a star, so friendly and helpful to this community. I noticed it yesterday :)
