Seeing that it is a dually, it should definitely be a sheriff's vehicle. Perhaps an optional wraparound pushbar would fit it nicely?

As for lighting, I'm not sure what you have access to, but I'm thinking either a Code 3 RX2700 or a newer Whelen Liberty (not the II), with a row of pushbar lights (a 6-8 Whelen Dominator stick or a bunch of TIR3's or ION's), with surface mounted modules like the Whelen 400 series or just TIR3's or ION's on the trunk, would look great for the police version. The RX2700 in amber would be ideal for the tow truck version as well.

this is only law enforcement / EMS dodge 3500 i could find, theres not much use for a 3500 in law enforcement, unless your towing a decent size trailer. Maybe throw a fifth wheel on there and make a command center trailer for it, but honestly not much use for a dually other than that.

I've seen one as a sheriff. There are tons of vehicles I've seen that aren't typical police vehicles that are. I am going to make an ambulave version and tow.

Don't mess with the law, if you can't handle the law.

I like Stelebs idea of a LAFD Ambulance, it's the perfect vehicle for the role.

Oh... Well, um... spoiler alert

West Valley Designs is already in the process of making one, but a flatbed dodge would make a very nice LA style tow truck.

Also just as a FYI finding a code 3 rx2700 that you can actually get permission for is nearly impossible.(Hilth0 is inactive so you most likely can't get permission and according to the community staff you still need permission)

I own a Dodge/RAM 3500, if you need any pictures. It's got a 12 foot extended bed and cab well. :)

Good luck, looking forward to seeing this!

I plan to make one once I get this base model done and ready

Maybe you could do something like this

forensics-350x307.jpg

i've seen these being used by the local RCMP as forensic vehicles. The canopy could be an extra (don't know if possible to have a extra that big)

and if you decide to put a canopy of any type on it here are some reference photos

FEAST YOUR EYES.

In the mountainous terrain, sometimes travel is difficult for law enforcement. Crown Victorias and other police vehicles, can get stuck. But now, Dodge is putting one of its toughest trucks to the test. Welcome the sheriff Dodge Ram 3500.
