The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

Anyone else's LSPDFR Crashing?

Featured Replies

Please tell me other people's LSPDFR's are crashing after this new update? If it isn't, could someone please help me if I'm alone? No crash log comes up just the GTA prompt that the game crashed and if I want to start in safe mode.

Thank you.

  • Check your plugins are updated and if they are supported by the recent RH update.  Your update.rpf inside OPENIV will need to be replaced, if you have custom clothing etc you'll need to re-add

  • Everything that can be updated is now updated..i did figure out what was going on..apparently I downloaded a bad car file..soon as i replaced my police2 with something different it went back to workin

Do you have an openiv.asi file in your game directory? If so, you probably need to reinstall the mods in your update.rpf file or wait for them to update

THIS worked for me. I have been bouncing back and forth between the forums and reinstalling items, Finally I copied the "mods" folder to my desktop and the Openiv.asi and Openiv.ini file  to my desktop and  then deleted the ones in my GTA V directory and the game loaded up fine.  However then once I attempted to go "on Duty" after picking an officer and a vehicle it seems that Albos Mods need an update to be compatible with this new version of GTA.

A side question that I have is what is the correct program that I should use to view the .RPF files? I tried opening with notepad but it is all gibberish?

Thank you,

So what good do they do on the desktop?

I temporarily moved them to my desktop to see if it would solve the rage hook crash when attempting to load the game. Maybe I mis-spoke slightly by saying it works. By taking out the OpenIV. ASI, OpenIV.INI and the mods folder from the GTA V directory, I was able to get ragehook to load the game without crashing. Once I was able to do that, is when I discovered that Albo1125's mods need some updates also after this latest patch, which it appears he is aware of.

So far all I have used the mods folder for is a couple of car models, which I am trying to sort out now to see if a reinstall of those work or if there is more too it.

Ah so basically the crashing is caused by plugins that aren't optimized for the most recent update?

Seems like it, although I am far from an expert at this yet. As far as I knew, the Mods folder is created by OpenIV and is where car models etc go and it seems one of the issues is there, the secondary issue is certain plugins in the plugins folder also need updates. We may just need to give the mod creators a day or three to update their files.

I meant like the update.rpf in your mods folder, every major gta 5 update you'll need to reinstall the mods inside the mods/update/update.rpf file

Hi

I had the same problem, just download rage 0.36 and revert back to old game version, did the trick for me hope it helps you guys, cheers

yeah i deleted my mods folder and my open iv stuff and it messes it up even worse said i needed to re install the whole game !  well put everthing back in the gta folder and it loads all the way up to the LSPDFR plugin then crashes ??  Why do they do these updates :(

i had to revert back to 0.36 and it works fine but i already updated albos plugins so they arent working now but atleast the game works again

OK so what worked for me is ... if you go into the main folder and go into your update folder and copy your update rpf file and the go into your mods folder and replace that update rpf file .. you should be back in business :) .. hope it helps

I was having a crash at load up .. and if u have a mods folder which you should just take the rpf out of the regular update folder .. then open your mods folder click on update and then you will see the other rpf file and replace it with the new one ... I had to do that last update too and just forgot .. when is your crash happening?

I don't know if I'm posting in the right area if not please correct me..but ever since i did all the updates my game completely crashes when i go to get on duty . I'm on a steam version and yes I messed up because I didn't create a mods folder. I've tried changing things and double checked all installations but no matter what it crashes when trying to go on duty. Here is my Rage log

Crashing when you try and go on-duty? So your able to get into the game itself ok? How are you trying to go on-duty? Like are you going to the police station, ... forcing duty, .. or "w" key-spacebar- & F-9 all together?

So looking through your log ... looks like you have an outdated version of secondary callouts .. try updated that plugin and see if that helps :)

Haven't tried forcing duty..it's anytime i go to any police station..soon as i get to where i choose the ped officer i want to be its completely crashes the game. I can spawn any and all cars just fine with trainer and drive around forever..soon as i try going on duty a game error happens and then i get a rage crash log

  1. Check your plugins are updated and if they are supported by the recent RH update.
  2. Your update.rpf inside OPENIV will need to be replaced, if you have custom clothing etc you'll need to re-add all that or you'll be running two different versions of updates which will most likely not let you on the game at all.

If none of the above works try to reinstall all your updated versions including LSPDFR and RH etc.

Hope this helps, I'm having the same issue but I'm currently upgrading as I noticed I didn't do the above. BUT in my case it won't let me on to the game at all!

All of my peds are original on GTAV. Only the cars are changed. I've removed all old callouts and redownloaded and installed the newest RPH and LSPDFR just incase but no change. I never had any issues until the new Rockstar update and new RPH. Games plays fine until i go on duty and select a police ped ..then it crashes. Here is a new log
