I cant wait for this to become a useful part of lspdfr.. I hope you can do something like the Rescue mod by Gangreen with fire and lifeguards

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

If you are on the beach, a lifeguard and ambulance will respond instead of a fire truck and ambulance. All ems vehicle spawn points, peds, and vehicles will be fully customizable through an XML file.

Work has begun, but it's going to be a while until it's anywhere near ready for release. If anybody has modding experience and wants to contribute, I'm looking for help particularly with identifying appropriate animations and useful props (can you find an AED prop??). PM me if interested.

Finally got to working on this a bit today. Made some progress:

  • Refactored code from CustomBackup to create a generic DLL which helps with model configuration, vehicle extras, etc. Employed that to make all those things work with the EMS XML file.
  • Added a progress bar showing how far EMS and Fire are from the scene, using RageNativeUI.
  • Changed code which manages responding units to improve driving.

LA City Fire actually sends their ambulances from the station, so they would arrive with the engine. Typically LACoFD will use a different ambulance company (In my area its McCormick) so response times would be different then. You're right though, almost everytime I've seen LAFD Medics responding, an engine is not far away.

I spent a couple hours today setting up so my backup.xml responds with fire trucks as well, I'll share if you want, but not 100% sure it works yet.

Lol, I used to work for them.

Any questions hit me up!

Looks awesome bro!

No screenshot today, but made some progress last night on patient evaluation. Got the code working to determine the cause of death and what part of the body (if any) was injured specifically. Also pulling together the scanner audio for as many injury possibilities as possible. The dispatch audio will change depending on how many injured peds there are, whether they're cops or civilians, and what type of injuries they are. The chances of revival will also be different depending on how the patient was injured and how long between when they were hurt and when EMS arrives.

Quick update: still working on this mod, it's gradually coming together. Most recently have been working on the AI to coordinate keeping track of all the injured peds and the responders treating them. Also making some improvements to the driving AI to prevent the issue of units driving up to the scene at top speed, then slamming on the brakes and sliding into everything. Now they'll slow down when they get close and drive carefully up to the scene.

I've also pulled all the scanner audio needed to report the different types of injuries, and to say what type of unit is responding and from where. It'll even let you configure custom audio for each vehicle you specify, so if a fire truck comes it'll say "fire truck is en route code 3", but if a lifeguard is the first responder it'll say " life guard is responding" instead.

I am definitely looking forward to this. I like to clear any crime scene before I move on and even after my over zealous fellow officers have riddled the perp with holes, I always call in ems first, just in case they magically bring him or her back to life, just so I can get my arrest. Hate being down on my arrest figures.

Today's progress: Using relationship groups to determine which injured peds should be tended to first. When medics arrive on scene, they will treat injured cops first. Next they will treat medics, firefighters, and other government officials. After that they will treat civilians. And at the very end, they will get to the criminals.

Also added some more advanced logic to the police scanner audio, for example to detect when there's been a vehicle explosion or an MVA, or to better handle audio for multiple injuries.

I mean it's pretty frustrating when there's a shootout, you've got a dead perp and a dead cop, you call EMS... and the EMTs rush up to the dead perp and start frantically trying to revive him while your officer pal just bleeds out.

Progress! Got the responders running to the patients, and doing so in the correct order of priority as described above. Also got them running to the next patient on the list when they're done with theirs. Right now they just run to the patient and do one pump of CPR... lots more to do with the animations, and of course if the patient is revived, bringing them to the ambulance. But getting closer! Fun watching the fire truck show up and seeing six guys hop out and start running to all the injured peds nearby.
