Actually, Nvidia cards run better with GTA 4. The drivers are more compatible. However, the latest driver at the moment for my GTX 560Ti was giving me problems so had to downgrade to a previous one. I have had 3 Nvidia cards, and have had no problems apart from the driver with the latest one. I owned a Radeon before and that used to overheat every other hour, I made sure it was clean and the fan was working as well as having good ventilation in my case, and the driver used to crash pretty often.

I prefer Nvidia for their very good customer support as well though. Never had problems with getting through and any issues are usually solved pretty quickly.

I doubt it will. If I told you my current PC can run GTAIV maxed out with an ENB with 100 FPS, would you believe me? I have a Radeon HD 4350, an AMD Phenom II 910 and 8gb of memory. Do you even know w

  • Is that even a PC? Regardless, can you post your specs please?

Aw hell naw. That thing will either blow up or implode when you play GTA.

GTA IV is a horribly built game, so on average with most games compared, AMD would be the better choice.

It's not the game that's the problem, its just a shitty port from the console. I've always found Nvidia to run cooler and have less issues running GTA anyway.

You may have had other experiences though, and am not arguing which is better, just stating my opinion. Please don't take this the wrong way.

That's personal opinion, and GTA IV was built great, except for they handed the title over to the Canadian division who did the port to PC which in end, was a horrible one at best, which made it a resource hog, but you most likely won't notice a difference between a leveled nivida and amd card, its all personal preference and any difference is little to none when actual performance tests are performed on both cards...

Actually, it was this forum that gave me the opinion that it was horribly built by saying it's a crappy port.

Being built is different to being ported. Being ported is when the game is already available for consoles such as xbox, and it may be absolutely perfect and run like a babe. But someone comes and turns it into a PC version but does a poor job of it and causes it to run like poo on computer.

Actually, it was this forum that gave me the opinion that it was horribly built by saying it's a crappy port.

When I stated "Personal Opinion" It was aimed at your statement that every game will run better on a AMD card,

Good built game: Good game engine, that has little to no bloat on it that can operate smoothly with little to no issues.

Bad PC Port: Game runs worse than it does on consoles, the engine works good, but it was not transferd correctly to operate on the PC platform, thus, you get issues like we do.

Good PC port: Game runs just as good if not better than it does on a console, and has little to no issues running on systems.

Bad built game: Horrible game engine that barley ever works, has great amount of issues regarding both bloat, and graphical wise.

Could someone tell me how much it would cost to upgrade my PC so it could run GTA 4?

Intel Premium Processor P6000 (1.86 GHz, 3MB L3 cache)

Intel HD Graphics Up to 1755 MB DVMT

15.6 HD LED LCD

4 GB DDR3 Memory

320 GB HDD

DVD-Super Multi DL drive

Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n

6-cell Li-ion battery

Ok, so what should I upgrade? What should I upgrade to? And how much would it cost? Thank you!!! :)

THats your laptop. We told you many times that you can't. You can't upgrade it to anything useful, if at all. Over and over you go for the worst PCs. Get the one I showed you. It doesn't need a monitor, you can hook it to a tv.

Well, I just dont like desktops because I dont like to leave it where I live. Is there any laptops that anyone knows of that can run the game? Because in a laptop I can take it where I go.

Ok, This time I am sure this can run it. I am sorry if anyone is getting annoyed by me! Im sorry, this is my last time posting here.

No graphics card in that one. Doesn't meet minimum requirements, so the game may not even install. If it does, performance will be pretty poor. What you picked is a good day-to-day laptop though.

Someone I know has that one, it works very well. They even posted a video to youtube and there was no lag or anything. If it doesnt, heck, ill just upgrade.

You can't upgrade a laptop. Good luck, though.
