LSPDFR 0.3 - "Busted!"

Featured Replies

Awesome news !! Can't wait to be realesed.

Will there also be a way to call for back-up and then make felony-type stop?

Like you ask them to get out of car with hands-raised, move 3 steps back, lie down on the floor and then make the arrest?

"Busted", yeah that's what happened to me when I read this.

The real question is, when are we getting this pack of awesomeness you're calling 0.3?

Well we're still working away like mad on it, these updates are just our way of doing what everyone wanted - regular news on how development is going.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

Gosh, i honestly want to ask for release date, yet I am willing to wait any amount of time so you guys can make your code base pretty.

So far I got just one question now for devs. Will be the feature of random nearby Police cars on streets joining up the ongoing pursuit be implemented upon release?

Same here, man

As usually it's awesome work and usually when it's done

Just don't insult or demeaned big or small efforts because i know that you can't do it so calm down and just watch their awesome work

In 0.3 will there still be an issue when calling for backup, currently any backup you call for a pursuit will ram you off the road to go after the suspect? or maybe there isn't anything that can be done about that, just curious..

That would be good indeed! For now I often let the AI go primary, but it's just a workaround. So +1 for this idea.

Great Progress Guys , thank you so much for your work here :-)

is it possible to make the AI Police cars and Backups stay at the scene to secure the area or whatever ...at least for a while , or as long as the player stays. I hate how they all crash into each other by leaving a crime scene :D

Well, If I recall correctly, in the first versions of LSPD:FR units did stay much longer on the crime scene. It's only since 0.2 that they leave so fast.
So I hope they can do something about it, because when they leave so fast it makes you feel a bit alone. It's as if ppl are all leaving a party at 11:00 pm

Other than that: great news, that's one of the biggest improvement I was eager to see :)

Yeah that is what I have resorted to doing as well, I hope it is something fixable. If were attempting to mimic real world police, I think it would be strange to see cops ramming each other during pursuits. Cross my fingers here.

Traffic Control Mod is your friend!

Just need to push one button and all traffics (including Cops) stop around you... Let you all the time you need to clean the scene.

The police must obey the law while enforcing the law.

only if they added something so you didn't have to hold down a button for each sirens , make it so you can click one button and it changes the siren and then click it a gain and it changes it :)

I would like to add that I would donate an additional 10$ if LSPDFR integrates configurable full gamepad control.

I'd double this if the name of the suspect IDd was automatically pasted into the police computer so that us controller guys didn't have to switch over to the keyboard and type in a difficult to spell name.

Oh Thanks , that sounds helpful :-) , but it would also be nice if these basic things would find a way into the lspd mod itself some day

I'm not sure why so many people are a fan of using a gamepad.  Using just the default LSPDFR mod yeah, I can see why people would use it.  But it is no fun to use just LSPDFR, there is so many more mods that compliment it well but the gamepad is is so limited on how many buttons you can have mapped to it that using the mouse + KB is so much more enjoyable because most mods are 100% configurable and you can bind the shortcut keys to nearly anything on your keyboard leading to many less conflicts.
