Work continues....slow, steady and precise. ;)  UV mapping channel 2 is complete, for painted surfaces, trim, and glass. (so dirt will lay correctly).  Started working on the the extra's.  Closed beta is very close to starting.  Seeing all the bugs the other explorer has, i am going to put this through a very thorough testing period before releasing it to the public.  But it will be released!

Deep breath guys!    Just want to clear a few things up.  I made this mod EVL compatible for a few reasons:  I am lighting freak and I really like flexibility a mod like EVL affords.

Guys, I am not dead yet (neither is the project)....I just honestly had zero time to put into this the past few months.  I am longing to get back at it....i just can't answer as to when.

  • I've had a few people ask me that via PM....i'll send out the template to those who are interested as soon as I have it ready.  That way, we can have a bunch of skins ready when it's released. Worki

This looks awesome! I love the rambar lights. I can't wait, as the other explorer is plagued by bugs right now.

Looking great so far. Keep it up. Your hard work is appreciated.

MSI MPG Z490 GAMING EDGE WIFI, Core™ i7-10700 8-Core 2.9 - 4.8GHz Turbo, MSI GeForce RTX™ 2070 TRI FROZR, 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) HyperX FURY DDR4 2666MHz, 500GB Black SN750 2280 M.2 SSD, 1TB MX500 7mm, 560 SSD

Good idea, I'll try to get that working.

Just pure curiosity here, but the lights in the back window... Is it possible to make it so it's just a solid light bar all the way across? (maybe as an 'extra') or is it not an option?

Ditto, I wouldn't mind testing. Shame you're making Philadelphia PD, it'd be far more relevant to have an LA based department

Patience. ;)

How does one get on this so-called closed beta to test it? :O

Zoogenheimer already made the final selection on beta participants, I believe.

I'm assuming you know something I don't? Is he making the LAPD and CHP vehicles afterward, because the only person I know doing that is Desmond98.

LSPD and SAHP following the game's lore.

But, are you asking about the skin or the based equipment of the vehicle?

I'm asking about the equipment, the skins aren't a problem because they are easy enough to make, although it's pointless having a CHP skin on a vehicle with the wrong equipment. Especially for the LSPD, based on the LAPD, it needs to have the Arjent lightbar because they're so disctintive and unique to the LAPD and LASD. The Philadelphia set-up is very different to the LAPD.

Not to sound rude, but Zoogenheimer would be working on this a VERY long time if he catered to every request. Maybe a lightbar or two can be changed but I highly doubt performing major changes to interior setups  and lighting is something any modder wants to do.

Yes, I think the same, the equipment is important. He is converting the NFS model to GTA V and I dont know in what city is based that game, but use the Whelen Liberty II, so that are the equipment that will bein using, but yes, I think there should be more options of equipment.

Not at all rude, it's the simple truth. Exactly why I'm wandering why he's doing the State of Philadelphia, which has no relevance to the game seeing as it's set in Los Angeles. I would have thought he would be making an LA based Utility is all. Perhaps he's from Philadelphia, I'm just curious. I think it's fair to also say that most people want a vehicle for the environment it's set in, with GTA SA, LAPD vehicles were the most popular. With GTA IV the NYPD had the largest amount of mods, as well as the NYSP, so one would assume that the priority mods would be for GTA V to have LAPD vehicles. But of course, it's entirely at the modders discretion,  if he wishes to make a Philly based vehicle then by all means.

In my opinion though, he would satisfy more people doing an LAPD vehicle, because the LAPD and LASD have similar equipment, and very little would have to be changed, in fact, other than the skin most people would probably use the exact same vehicle (not realising the subtle differences between the two). The demand right now is for LAPD vehicles, then individual states come trickling through, that's what happened with GTA IV (when I joined the LCPDFR community)

In the profile you can see he is from New Jersey.

But don't worry mate, he is not making a Philadelphia based explorer. As I told before, he is just converting the NFS model that he get to GTA V, so that's the equipment that the NFS explorer has ;)

Oh I see, that makes sense. I didn't read it through properly. Thanks for clarifying

Yes. I also want an Arjent version for LSPD and LSSD for example. But the Whelen Liberty II version is really fine for BCSO, SAHP and others. Let's see what happen with this project, I think it will be a great one.

He might ask permission to use the one made by @F5544.
