officerscrub reacted to Ponch in Check out ELS for V!If you can successfully manage to go this route rather than the extras, would this mean that all vehicle models currently released would automatically be compatible with ELS? Also would we have to use ELS-specific lightbars and various other lighting parts when developing new models?
Also - I vote that @Albo1125 works with you to complete this. Anyone else? Like this up if you agree.

officerscrub reacted to howellp12 in Check out ELS for V!Also the fact of the matter is that their is the system we used in GTA IV look how long it took to get perfect and V is no different plus decoding sound banks RDE and working around that aspect of coding personally i took programming classes myself and its no easy task to get right the first run out of the box impatience and "when is it released comments will greatly show that the community has 0 appreciation for all the hard work that it takes to make any mod for the gta franchise also number 2 here ya its been a year but i personally would wait till it comes out as bug free as possible do to the fact that rockstar had to complicate the hierarchy of the installation of gta v where everything is all over the dang place rde helped with vehicle slots eup uniforms lights ELS each and every mod for the gta v has had to undergo a new form of scripting method and zmoding method to get in game functioning with zero to few crashes as possible GTA IV crash city GTA 5 extremely rarely and the future of modding for gta v is going to be a project in its self and that my friends is the truth if your one of the people that is constantly asking when its being released i challenge you "to make one script mod for GTA' and trust me when i say that you will not have a bug free mod the first try and i'm talking not a little one like change car color or wash a vehicle i mean one that overhauls the game like ta to work with vehicle paths to move traffic over on a highway ect..... just so you have an idea how much work is envolved in the "ELS PROJECT"
NOW THAT BEING SAID
Thanks Lt. Caine Prophet buggs123 for all of the work that you do and keep it up

officerscrub reacted to Cartres in Check out ELS for V!Anyone who's ever even tried to mod, whether it be GTA V or something else, understands that when you're dealing with volunteers giving their free time to make something for free, there are dozens of sacrifices that have to be made to make time for the project, but also to sacrifice the project for the variety of real life things that just...happen. I know nothing about Lt.Caine personally, nor do I know any of the individuals whom he holds close, but I can tell you that ELS V is probably not the thing he spends every day doing. In fact, it's probably what he does in his free time, for no pay, for US. He doesn't have a team of programmers at his disposal, and he's trying to make this modification as true to life, dynamic, adaptive, enjoyable, easy and BUG-FREE as possible, and I think those are listed in ascending levels of difficulty.
Do you think I'd love to know when he's going to release this mod which will likely be a turning point for LSPDFR? Hell yeah I would. Would I like to beg him to let me in on the Alpha so I can run around with ELS cars? You bet I would. But I shouldn't, and we shouldn't, because we owe him our patience. And we owe him our patience because he's not asking for our money. It's as simple as that.

officerscrub reacted to joeym in [WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)@OfficerFive0 WOW! Dude, your Arjent is SO COOL! Amazing work!!! You are the best modeler on this site, hands down!!! How did you make such an awesome lightbar?!¿!?!¿!?
Is this the kind of credit/recognition you feel you deserve? It's pretty obvious that @DroidRZRLover didn't steal your lightbar and that he has been helping @Desmond develop/test this model for a while now. So why do you come in here trying to start shit?

officerscrub reacted to densup in Check out ELS for V!If I were you, I would try to keep my expectations non-existent. It'll only do more harm than good. Feels bad when the end of the month comes and you're like "maybe it's next month" then that month goes by, and you're filled with sadness as school begins.

officerscrub reacted to GravelRoadCop in Check out ELS for V!Yes. ELS has it's own integrated Traffic Control System. The sirens will move cars directly ahead of you forward when the right conditions are met. Some driver will react differently to your siren tones, and air-horn intensity, so make sure you use all four available siren tone options. ELS will take control of the cars directly in front of you (with range of about 40m forward). This is very useful at intersections when all the lanes are taken up.
Rest assured, ELS will have LAPD spec headlight flashers, hide-a-way system pattern and light bar patterns. Your LAPD models will go nicely with ELS :)

officerscrub reacted to OfficerFive0 in [WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)here's a video of my theory, im going to do further testing but i dont think itl work. mainly because the mesh for park mode, even when not activated is still visible, although not illuminated. and even further, when takedowns are active, you can still see the flashing effects behind the takedown mesh.
another idea i got was for the park mode lights to be under an extra, so when conducting a traffic stop, you would activate the extra, and deactivate it afterwards.
but like i said i still want to test it out further so it may not be a problem
*skip towards the end to see the traffic stop (around 4:00)

officerscrub reacted to SeaHawk14 in [WIP] LAPD/LASD/CHP FPIU (2014)You didn't get a video of the interior? To remedy that, I suggest you go 100mph on the motorway, and get pulled over by CHP (make sure it's a Ford Explorer, if not you'll have to do it again).
Nice images of the Explorer though, I expected there to be much more in the boot than that, since all that equipment can fit into any saloon car, like the Ford Police Interceptor. Where are the cones and road stuff?
