I second the above question. It'd be nice to know these things, if at all possible.

I don't really follow this threat or community too much but will this add-on give you the option of turning on the light bar on one side only or will that be up to the specific car? I don't know about other states but in Florida, most cops only turn one side of the light bar on when doing traffic stops and I think it's pretty neat. There doesn't seem to be any other mod that allows you to do that. Thanks!

I believe that will be possible in ELS

That has to do with whether the person who created the car has created the lighting to be able to do that. It is a feature that actually pushed me to make my own models and release them for realism but it can also be very difficult to set up because it takes up space from other vehicle componets. Not to mention it is near impossible to do when you dont have a ELS style plugin.

I currently play with EVL, and have many many cars that advise traffic with certain extras in the back of the lightbar, and my primary lights are in the front of the light bar, so that when I turn off my primary lights, the person pulled over is not blinded ( not that I car, AI peds can all die lol)

Isn't EVL dead? I searched for it in files and only cars are left, one is by Xplicit but it seems they've had their account deactivated.

Yeah, he probably made a new account.

So where'd you get EVL from? Or are you using an old version that you happened to grab before it became unavailable? I tried using it, but it wasn't at a stage where I felt I wanted to use it properly, then updates on it seemed to just stop.

I mean isn't that what CHP does with their steady reds only on the left? Or are you talking about front and back which in that case has always been an ELS thing.

I think he means one side of the light bar (In Florida departments often turn off their front lights in day traffic stops).

I know here in Arizona, almost all departments in the area that use a 3 stage lighting system have the first stage as all the rear only lights for DUI stops and stops on the highway and whatnot, the second and third are all the lights minus the siren or forward flashing white light.

yes it is mostly Dead I can tell since well there is no mention of it anywhere(the actual file I mean) and you're right on only cars are left for it.

Yeah that's always been part of ELS. Stage 1 for lapd for example is just rear ambers. Stage 2 is rear ambers with two steady burns to the front and stage 3 is the typical lighting pattern for code 3.

I believe unfortunately is against the rules to give out stuff like that with out the permission of the modder but u can probably ask him for it

Agreed, its just we haven't had any updates at all for a while and had to keep the conversation going lol, and hopefully have a light mod while we wait. 

There isn't really much point in using EVL anyway, since it's very basic the lighting looks kinda weird. I tried using it, but it just didn't feel... ELS...y... enough. 

In other, more off topic news (because why not) I reinstalled EFLC yesterday. This time, I'm gonna try to play through all the game before modding it. Maybe that'll make it more stable? Haha. Doubt it. Worth a try though, and I might as well play the game that I bought's story.

 

To make this comment on-topic again (and prevent the mighty moderators from smiting me), maybe ELS IV will tide me over? That was the plan last time I tried reinstalling just GTA IV itself, and it didn't work out. Because crashes.
