    I don't know to be honest, just fearful of the unknown I assume.
    I just removed the model since people are way too ungrateful considering I really didn't have to upload it until I had my own script working with it so whatever.....

    well I have re-read my pm's between me & @Ridgerunner and it seems I can just release the model itself and likely make the script later though per my pm's with Ridgerunner I just need to properly credit ridgerunner for the model since I am not any sort of 3d modeler and that is fine with me as if I did any 3d modeling I would have expected proper credits where credits are due as well, though since it isn't my original model I will only release it in it's locked state in zmod3 since all other scripts for gta iv that used this model had the model locked as well to prevent well pirates(not sure if they still exist in the gta v universe, but better to be safe than sorry).
    as I was planning on doing more than what albo did and instead try to somewhat duplicate what finkone did in gta iv in gta v and that is taking a long time to reproduce since most of the methods aren't the same in the gta v hook compared to gta iv hook so that is taking a long time to do. but I will release the model soon though to allow it to be used with albo's script for the meantime while I built it with my own script behind the scenes though as stated in locked state only.
     
    then again afraid of uploading it at all considering the security system might flag it as not my own work and well I get banned or something for uploading something not myself again(which was never my intention and was done by accident but still don't want to take the risk).

    I need to figure out the script first of all before I can get the lidar script going, the model is already locked in zmod3 and is already packaged in an addon dlc.

    I admit I have used the community edition before when I could get the enterprise version from my college dreamspark and the community edition<->enterprise version aren't that different.

    Have you tried disabling DEP(Data Execution Prevention) or sometimes called No Execute on some Intel Machines or Virus Protection on older machines?

    this is the worst decision i've seen in two years. the moderators are what led to statuses being used more to begin with. people like me were tired of having our shit moved from one part of the forum to the other, getting warned for posting in the wrong spot even though it clearly fit where it was, or moderators telling us that what we were posting in the main forum should be posted as a status update. what the hell is goin on around here? the status update was the only space some of us felt comfortable posting on and now we have nothing. un-fantastic

    Hehe, it would probably be pretty great, especially since Albo is much more talented than I am.
     
    Regarding an ELS release, I know the long wait has disappointed and frustrated many. For this, I apologize. Please keep in mind, however, that there is nothing more discouraging in this context than to work on a modification for so long and yet still not get to share it with others. After all, the purpose of taking on such a large endeavor, is in many ways to watch others explore, enjoy and benefit from it.
    That said, why have we not been forthcoming with information regarding ELS? This has been a point of frustration for several members of the community, and understandably so. However unintentional the consequences may have been, the reason for this strategy was simple: nothing in ELS was--or is--set in stone. Throughout the development process, things have evolved, features have come and gone or been completely rethought. Even flash patterns have been redone about three to four times (that's hundreds of patterns!). Because ELS was--and is--constantly changing, an accurate picture of the mod could not really be conveyed to the public. We also wanted to strike a balance between reassuring the community that the mod was indeed in development, while not creating the type of hype that would result in people becoming impatient and ultimately frustrated. Perhaps that hasn't been entirely successful, in which case, I apologize.
    At this point, most of the core ELS features are complete. However, a release is not yet possible for several reasons: a few core features still remain to be coded (takedowns, for instance); several features are being polished; and, I am constantly on the lookout for more ways to squeeze things out of the game in order to provide ELS users and vehicle modelers with more options and a better experience.
    Furthermore, the recent developments regarding default siren ("carcols") configuration have provided a new avenue to explore for ELS. For instance, the entire "extra" method may be discarded and replaced with a new method using the "siren" parts. This is being explored, but is far from guaranteed. If it can be done, it would provide ELS with 20 individual lights as opposed to only 12, in addition to freeing up the extras to be used as random vehicle components--which, no doubt would be greatly appreciated. It would also mean more complex--and fun--flash patterns. However, this would also inevitably increase development time.
    Were ELS a mod like most others, it might have already been released. However, the issue in this particular case is that ELS requires vehicle models configured to a particular standard. The fear is that were ELS to change dramatically due to a new development after an initial release, that players and websites would be cluttered with a plethora of obsolete vehicle models and ELS vehicle configuration files. Not to mention the confusion this would cause, which has materialized in the past. Therefore, the idea is to build ELS to a point where subsequent releases will feature only minor updates that won't disturb the community. And hopefully that won't take too much longer.
    I hope this clears things up for most people interested in the development of ELS for V. I know it's been a very long wait, but I ask you for just a little more--just a little more time so that I can at least try to make it live up to your standards and expectations and prevent the need for huge messy overhauls down the road.
     
    For those wondering about the damage issue, you may rest assured that it is fixed, but LMS is working on a solution that will make it portable and capable of withstanding GTA V game patches/updates. As for stability, there really is no comparison to be made to GTA IV. ELS V is extremely stable, and not a single crash has yet been reported outside of routine testing/development, even with AI vehicles enabled.

    since I am a developer I have to know how to read program output and stack traces to debug/find out why a program crashed.
    as if you are a developer and don't know how to read stack traces/program output you are going to have a really hard time debugging/making a program.

    while that is certainly possible would probably take a lot of research into the natives, similar functions used by vocaldispatch, etc to know how to craft a plugin that allows you to use your microphone as a megaphone in game.(not saying it isn't possible just saying it would be a lot of work to figure out how to do/implement) 
    I can see what I can do though like I said probably would take a lot of research to figure this out.

    that has nothing to do with it I am not a developer of lspdfr/lcpdfr so I don't even think you can try the big fan card with me.
    and no that isn't making a 3d model that is getting a premade ready to go one.
    By the way trying the biggest fan card or something else won't work here didn't you read the instructions when you posted the topic unless it isn't in this specific forum it states lcpdfr/lspdfr is a free mod and as such no one has to help you, if they do they are doing it out of their own free time.

    I agree I think everyone should just wait for ELS for GTA V it will be thousand times better then EVL.
    Plus looking at the ELS demo videos they already have the door bug fixed.

    @BannDesigns I am the developer of that mod/script and would you mind telling me what is wrong with it? as you are not being very clear to be honest what is wrong with my script/mod? how do you define " so they clear the way in a smart way "? please explain what you mean by smart in that sentence as I thought I got the AI doing way more smarter on clearing the way when emergency vehicles come around isn't that the whole purpose? I mean I am just confused what you are asking as to be honest usually when a emergency vehicle comes around with their sirens on they usually do move out of the way as that means the emergency vehicle is trying to get somewhere fast and they want the AI(npc) to move out of their way?  
    that is the whole point of this isn't it? as of course you want them to drive away from you and get out of your way when you have your sirens on right?
    I guess I am not understanding exactly what is missing from my script mod or what exactly isn't "smart" about the way my script makes the AI(npc) clear the way out of your way so you can get to the scene fast?
