Check out ELS for V!

Featured Replies

Folks, we've all played ELS on GTA IV, look at how long it took to reach perfection with ELS 8.5.  If the guys make the first GTA V ELS release as perfect as 8.5, then I for one am happy to wait.

So far, the showcases look amazing, looking forward to further videos from the team!

I think it would be smart for the ELS team to include some of the more popular vehicle modders on this site like BlackJesus, Windows446, PimDSLR,Thehurk, etc. into the testing team so they can begin to make models for the community, that way when ELS is released we don't just have one or two of BxBugs' vehicles to use.

Just a thought.

Or, or, or!!! We can use the same system of extras for the models that originated with ELS IV that way the "vehicle modders" can begin this process as we speak!

Oh, wait....

I was being facetious.  We don't need to involve anyone in the ELS Team to create models because the system has remained the same from IV modeling.

Indeed, as seen in IV, that is the most efficient way to give each vehicle it's own characteristics.

Are you sure it will be released? I mean, it's over a year now when the disscussion about ELS V began.

Yes, ELS will be released. The people developing it and testing it are reliable and trusted members of the LSPDFR community.

Of course they can be excited, but how many times do Prophet, GravelRoadCop or any other member have to say there is no release date? Being excited is fine. But pestering and bumping this thread to ask for a release date even though someone just said there is no release date is getting really annoying. If you have to ask for a release date, Look through this thread. I'm tired of people who can't read. Asking 6 times a day won't help your cause.

No offense, but people are waiting since 2015, so I think it's pretty reasonable that people are asking for release dates.

Actually, to be fair, I'm surprised people are even still hyped for this after a year.

Exactly. I model for evl, thus have tons of els cars ready to go. Way ahead of ya ;] been on evl for a year now. Can't wait, I model a ton, let me know if you guys need any help with anything.

I think people need to seriously just chill out.  Sure they could release it now, but do you want an unfinished product?  It will be released when it is done and just the way the devs want it.  I personally am tired of all of the "When is it coming out?" posts on this thread.

The way I see it is that this discussion has been here for over a year and we still don't have ELS V. I'm kinda having trouble finding out whats taking so long. But the devs can do what they want and who am I to say otherwise?

Anyone who's ever even tried to mod, whether it be GTA V or something else, understands that when you're dealing with volunteers giving their free time to make something for free, there are dozens of sacrifices that have to be made to make time for the project, but also to sacrifice the project for the variety of real life things that just...happen. I know nothing about Lt.Caine personally, nor do I know any of the individuals whom he holds close, but I can tell you that ELS V is probably not the thing he spends every day doing. In fact, it's probably what he does in his free time, for no pay, for US. He doesn't have a team of programmers at his disposal, and he's trying to make this modification as true to life, dynamic, adaptive, enjoyable, easy and BUG-FREE as possible, and I think those are listed in ascending levels of difficulty.

Do you think I'd love to know when he's going to release this mod which will likely be a turning point for LSPDFR? Hell yeah I would. Would I like to beg him to let me in on the Alpha so I can run around with ELS cars? You bet I would. But I shouldn't, and we shouldn't, because we owe him our patience. And we owe him our patience because he's not asking for our money. It's as simple as that.

Also the fact of the matter is that their is the system we used in GTA IV look how long it took to get perfect and V is no different plus decoding sound banks RDE and working around that aspect of coding personally i took programming classes myself and its no easy task to get right the first run out of the box impatience and "when is it released comments will greatly show that the community has 0 appreciation for all the hard work that it takes to make any mod for the gta franchise also number 2 here ya its been a year but i personally would wait till it comes out as bug free as possible do to the fact that rockstar had to complicate the hierarchy of the installation of gta v where everything is all over the dang place rde helped with vehicle slots eup uniforms lights ELS each and every mod for the gta v has had to undergo a new form of scripting method and zmoding method to get in game functioning with zero to few crashes as possible GTA IV crash city GTA 5 extremely rarely and the future of modding for gta v is going to be a project in its self and that my friends is the truth if your one of the people that is constantly asking when its being released i challenge you "to make one script mod for GTA' and trust me when i say that you will not have a bug free mod the first try and i'm talking not a little one like change car color or wash a vehicle i mean one that overhauls the game like ta to work with vehicle paths to move traffic over on a highway ect..... just so you have an idea how much work is envolved in the "ELS PROJECT"

NOW THAT BEING SAID

Thanks Lt. Caine Prophet buggs123 for all of the work that you do and keep it up

We might not have to wait an eternity anymore, there was a recent discovery made on a file that enables completely custom light patterns, flash rates and the light itself reflecting off objects. We may not need ELS after all, a few users have already successfully made really nice patterns just by making simple XML edits on existing vehicles. Look out for the mods downloads section this week.

If this is the case then ELS development needs to hurry up or the hype train will leave the station..

That's awesome. I'd assume that this is what allowed BxBugs to make an all-blue corona vehicle with custom light patterns?
