Online Bann?

I have heard of people being banned from online by simply having mods installed in single player. Has anyone here experienced this with LSPDFR?

Most likely it's not that simple. Either people are being dishonest about not using mods in Online, or they didn't use them but they left them installed when they went into Online. Having any mods installed and going into Online is a bad idea.

I heard that Rockstar said it was okay to have mods that are NOT modifying anything really important in GTA Online (Like money, RP, Missions). But as soon as you start messing with that, according to their policy, you will be banned. But they don't seem to mind mods that are for immersion (like SAPD:RR Online), also if you are playing in a public lobby, you will be banned. So, maybe creating your own lobby with only your friends should be okay, but your intentions could be quickly misunderstood. There are a lot of risks and like The Loot said "Having any mods installed and going into Online is a bad idea."

No with LSPDFR you wont get banned what so ever since we use the plugin called "Rage plugin hook" they wont detect it what so ever, UNLESS you run your game with "Rage plugin hook" and then enter online you have a big chance of getting banned. So when you want to play online lunch your game like normal. SideNote: It is only like this due to we have the "Rage plugin hook" but if you have like a trainer that uses the "ScriptHook" plugin you need to remove that first if you go in online but if you only have the LSPDFR mod/plugin then just ignore this last part :) If you have any futher questions feel free to ask!

We have always appreciated the creative efforts of the PC modding community and we still fondly remember the awesome zombie invasion mod and original GTA map mod for GTAIV PC among many other classics. To be clear, the modding policy in our license has not changed and is the same as for GTAIV. Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways.

So that pretty much means, any mod like LSPDFR Online should be allowed as:

1. It doesn't give you an unfair advantage (No money or RP)

2. It's for roleplay purposes and does not give the player any ability to grief

3. It enhances gameplay more than disrupts it

Thank you everyone for the replies. I have also contacted Rockstar and will post their response here when I get it. I don't think I have anything to worry about, I like online just as it is and have no care to use mods. Just want to cross the T's and dot the I's.

killer it is really simple

1. GTA V is not supporting mods online what so ever

2. GTA V has never planned to have modding in online allowed

3. In order to use any mods like LSPDFR you would need to host the server yourself but you can't since rockstar host everything even the private seasons

I hope this changes in the future. To me, even though I have no friends ;) MP policing is the only way to go.
