when you add cars, why will you add to both x64e and to mpchristmas, (and mpheist as mentioned above in my other reply) why cant you just add all to the x64e? isnt that where most of the cars are, besides the DLC cars of course

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

  • GTA IV's texturing used the exact same system. You could not make a police car black using the texture alone. That's because colors were in the carcols file. What you're mixing up is how *modded* cars

Hi, I just noticed that all my added vehicles in mpchristmas2 dlcpack looks like matte paintjob but if I change them to x64e look good. Any one knows why?

That's because the police3 slot has different color settings defined in the original carvariations, which isn't yet viewable. I don't know if there's a resource on the color settings around, but yo can mess with them and see what happens.

Because the DLC files have both the required meta files, so it's easier to keep it all together, Plus it seems sometimes certain vehicles need to load after certain DLCs in order to work.

I think it has something to do with the 'Carcols.meta' File.

Nope, It's still belongs to carvariations.meta, carcols.meta is a .meta file which is controls modifications from Los Santos Custom.
 

Try this lines, This should fixed your problem about matte white.

Nope, Carcols.meta is replaced by carvariations.meta, which is controls vehicle colors, liveries, lights, and siren settings, and new carcols.meta which is controls mod kit like car bumper, Neon lights, Engine, Brake, Selection of car colors, and wheels, This .meta file is used by Los Santos Custom, So this is serve same as carmods.dat from GTA San Andreas.

Interesting, can you explain which lines exactly are fixing the matte color? I'm guessing it's the 4 lines below  <indices content="char_array"> ?

Hi! I was replacing my old Crown Vic in the slot hwaycar2 with the 2008 Tahoe. I changed the carvariations settings to the one provided in the download, however no siren/lights come on, only regular horn. My other Crown Vic in hwaycar slot used to work fine, but now the sirens/lights will not work either, even though I didn't change any settings. Any help please?

Never mind! I just figured it out, I was so silly that throughout the steps I somehow removed the <CVehicleModelInfoVariation>
  <variationData> at the top of the carvariations.meta

for some reason I cannot get extra liveries to work on my policed, everything else works fine. And the model is setup with to have multiple liveries. When i go in the trainer it just says 0 and i cannot change anything.

Absolutely copy the police3 meta entry if the car was supposed to replace it.
