I actually like the first one. The second 2 are pretty meh. Thing is I would rather departments be different and have some form of self identity then plan ass black and white, all black or all white.

Police cars should be eye catching their job is to be visible. Presence patrols mean absolutely nothing if people don't see or notice you which is the first part of proactive policing. Ghost cars are great for the second part. Catching the people watching for the visible cars only. Without the first the second isn't going to be nearly as effective.

The second part of this is the reason most cars are going the route of the FHP cruiser is to increase visibility from nearly all angles. Its why everything is reflective. Its also why all Ambulance and Fire Trucks have to put those ugly ass chevrons on all their new equipment. Visibility ideally increases surviving the roads.

Now with all that said the Chicago Pattern is just as ugly as the previous one. The only reason to have the Unit Number so plainly visible is for the increase in recordings. Its   CYA for the department to crucify their guys if they fuck up.

Hello, I'm having a problem that it seems some others were having as well. Basically it looks like the textures for lights aren't aligned for some reason and this is been happening with cars from multiple authors. Some cars work perfectly but others have problems. I've replaced and installed new cars hundreds of times, I know the drill. I follow the instructions to the letter and properly update the carvariations as well as the yft and ytd files but I still have the problem. Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about:

I thought that might be the problem so I searched through every carvariations.meta and either made sure it didn't have a police/police3/[or whichever] section and if it did I updated it. The only problem is I only just now started using the mods folder with the latest OpenIV update so I can't really just rename a folder. I'm thinking it might be a problem with vehicles.meta but like I said, I don't have an original. Would you be able to post the police, police3, and fbi sections of the vehicles.meta?

I managed to find the original vehicles.meta entries and update each vehicles.meta file in the game using the search function but still no luck.

Okay, yeah, that's what I'm trying to avoid. No worries.

I was wondering whether somebody would make a DC police skin for a crown vic, and maybe the new impala that came out.
