  1. question: is anyone else having the problem where all the lights flash red at some point but some never flash blue? (the one on the top right passenger door and all the ones on the left except for the middle) I'm using the latest v3.2 undercover policet model with the standard vehicles.meta, carvariations, and the ELS xml file it came with (obviously renamed to policet.xml). I've gone through all the patterns and some just never light up blue.
  2. amazing car, by far one of my favorites! one odd request though, could you make a version without the plate readers and rambar? so more like an unmarked christmas tree. thanks!
This is really fantastic work. I especially love the lights because a lot of people make the blue too washed out be these are really top notch. Also, all the options included really show it was well thought out and a lot of effort went into it. And it goes great with the Arizona DPS-inspired skins you made a while back. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
this is some really phenomenal work like all your models, thanks!
  3. Awesome car! The only problem is when if you tune up the car with things like engine power modifier, the physics are off and it flies off the road.
  4. I love the light setup! The only thing that's be more awesome is if you could release a version with just one or two low profile antennas (like the RAE4164ARB) instead of the current array. Keep up the great work!
  5. I just searched through all 18 of the carvariations.meta files and only found one reference to police and police3, and none to fbi. Can anyone confirm that the standard install (including patches and updates) doesn't include carvariations for these cars?
  6. I'm using the carvariations given by the author of the cars and they're copied correctly (I'm very familiar with XML).
  7. I managed to find the original vehicles.meta entries and update each vehicles.meta file in the game using the search function but still no luck.
  8. Okay, yeah, that's what I'm trying to avoid. No worries.
  9. I thought that might be the problem so I searched through every carvariations.meta and either made sure it didn't have a police/police3/[or whichever] section and if it did I updated it. The only problem is I only just now started using the mods folder with the latest OpenIV update so I can't really just rename a folder. I'm thinking it might be a problem with vehicles.meta but like I said, I don't have an original. Would you be able to post the police, police3, and fbi sections of the vehicles.meta?
  10. Hello, I'm having a problem that it seems some others were having as well. Basically it looks like the textures for lights aren't aligned for some reason and this is been happening with cars from multiple authors. Some cars work perfectly but others have problems. I've replaced and installed new cars hundreds of times, I know the drill. I follow the instructions to the letter and properly update the carvariations as well as the yft and ytd files but I still have the problem. Here are some pictures of what I'm talking about:
  11. The lightbar works for me on the Crown Vic but the dash and rear lights don't. On the lightbar on the explorer and Taurus however the glow is detached from the car to the side by a couple feet. I copied all the carvariations over and put the correct vehicle files in the correct folder just like it said so I have no idea what else to do. I've installed new cars hundreds of times but something seems to be up with this install.
  12. Any word on this? I copied the carvariations over in the beginning but the lights are still all messed up on police and police3. I'm not new to adding new cars, I've done it a million times before, just some lights are messed up every so often with certain cars. What else could cause this?
  13. I know this is just a problem with my local copy but pretty much every police3 has the lights all mapped wrong, including this one. I checked for any old carvariations.meta from previous police3s but didn't find anything. only one entry in vehicles.meta and it looks to be the original. anything else that could be causing the lights to flash not even attached to the car? The regular police one you made works fine on my install.
  14. I really like this car but I keep having this problem. For some reason part of the bumper is always attached to the car, even after removing all extras and upgrades from the Enhanced Trainer. Any ideas?
  15. Hello, I was wondering if someone could make a clothing add-on item of the French/German police armband (with either "Police" and/or "Polizei" written on it).
  16. For some reason the game crashes when I load my car. It's supposed to replace police3 (but obviously I'm trying to add it separately) so should I copy that entry from the vehicles.meta and just change the name or should I take a civilian car entry and just add the emergency flags?
  17. I was wondering if someone could make either an Audi A4 undercover car (like this one from GTA IV) or some sort of 4 door Mercedes sedan. This is something it looks like a lot of people have been waiting for so I'm sure it'd go greatly appreciated. Also I think with the Beta release of EVL there's the possibility of adding more blue lights than the regular models would allow. So ideally a car like this (the same license plate would be amazing): But with some more lights such as these: Thanks to anyone who can help or who would also be interested in having a car like this.
  18. I've seen a lot of people add only blue coronas to cars for a while now but there's a limit of somewhere around 10 (can't remember exactly). That number seems to be hard-coded so without a separate system like ELS, we're all pretty limited.
  19. There are some tutorials around that talk about it but I honestly don't know, I don't even have Zmod3 because I don't want to pay that much. All I know is it's not a simple task.
  20. I am very interested in finding out how they used all blue lights (I thought there was a limited quantity you could use) and how they made the custom pattern.
  21. Found this for ya'. Now you have to use Zmodeler3 to convert it for GTA V, it to the car model, and then edit the vehicle config files like in my last post. http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/file/1254-hã¤nsch-movia-led-beacon-els/
  22. Hello everyone. I've been searching for the past couple of days trying to figure out how to add existing police lights to a non-police car in GTA V. Basically just adding grill and back dash lights on an in-game luxury car. I know about editing textures but I only recently started learning about models. So I guess my first question is: is there an alternative to Zmodeler3 such as 3DSMax that would be compatible with putting back into the game and if so, how would I go about importing/exporting these models in the proper format? My second question is one that I've seen around here a few times but no one seems to know the answer to but I've seen it done over and over again. How would one go about making all the emergency lights on a car flash blue? To my knowledge you can change the texture easily but the flash will still be the original color (red). Thanks for all the help and I'm sure a lot of other people are wondering about this stuff too.
