V Update Scripts wont work (4/30) (Fixed De-patched)

Featured Replies

Morning LCPDFR community

Sooooooo woke up this morning got my tea and sat down and fired up my GTA V.Steam automatically updated my game to build 350  1.26.And now nothing works no cruise control,Trainer,or SAPDFR. I assume this is due to the update because it worked just fine before i went to bed and now its all broken in s&*t. So to everyone waking up today and finding out your game scripts are screwed that's just R* C@&K blocking you. I guess this is just them trying to combat and fix all the hackers on GTA O.Just too many trainers work online. Its hilarious! :pinch: Hopefully R* wont take it out on us. Anyone know any work around`s or any ideas when a new script hook may be coming out.

I figured i`d would save the support moderator 9 post to read by posting early.   Cheer`s everyone!

From what I've heard Rockstar disabled scripthook or something, but considering the internet's reputation it shouln't take too long to get "fixed".

Damn that sucks. But yeah it wont take long. Some bull&*t though.I don`t even think script hooks are the issue cause everything that runs on the scripts wont work online. That is the way the script was made. Not to work online. The hackers are using those` EXE trainers like Lingons`s.I used that +12 trainer he came out with the second day of release online and went nuts.I only went into Death match once to see if it worked. And it did so i left. I`m not like those guys using super speed and invincibility going 75 and 2 in a 20 min game. This is why we can`t have nice things.:pinch:I did however rob every liqueur store in the state of SA in 30 min. That was kinda fun.  hopefully its fixed soon .

I hate waking up to RockStar pissing in my Corn Flakes every morning.I give them to much money for that rubbish.

The only reason you didn't see this in IV is because R* didn't really update IV...

R* are going to updating V a lot, and this is something you will have to learn to live with. It's not because they're purposefully trying to disable scripthooks (as far as I'm aware), but scripthooks (by their nature -- they hook into the game) will need updated with new memory locations and such as updates to the executable by R* completely change this.

Good point i did not even think of that .IV got what 7 updates in its whole life span, V will see that in probably see that in 3 months.Gta will always keep us waiting i guess what can ya do.Thanks for the insight Cyan.  Cheer`s.

Yea, I hope so too. Yesterday a good news about lspdfr. Today the sad news about the hashes :-(.

Yeah for real.I think i would be still having a this Steam issue if i had a back up though.I got the new files thanks to the ppl of the internet.Socialist Club is just being a b&*ch about me being in Offline mode on Steam so i don`t get that updated.Gonna buy a hard copy at some point. Hopefully i can get this fixed in the mean time.

I'd advise removing all of your mods from the game files, just in case if Rockstar have implemented a new monitoring system into the latest patch, I don't want anyone to get a nasty shock when they load up Online and then get banned because they have some mods in their file.

That is a good point.MP can suck it for all i care but yeah if yr interested in the Online. That is something to ponder.

BWT In response to the main Topic you can fix this but going to the link downloading the 3 files and putting them in your V.It de-patches your game to what it was yesterday. And if you have Steam you don`t need to run in Offline mode.It wont re-patch.Or at least it did not for me.We will just have to deal with this till AlexanderBlade can figure shit out. R* really switched up their coding apparently.Should be fixed in a few days at most.It is not completely screwed just kinda.

If the game wasn't 50 goddamn gigabytes I would of just copied it somewhere else for separate mod use...Either way I'd rather just wait for the scripthook to be fixed, not worth downgrading to an older version unless you REALLY like modding that much, I'm sure it will be updated and working by the end of this weekend.

Hey guys if you downgrade to the other patch, the online still works. I don't know if anyone else tried but it does work, I was in a lobby with 2 other people.

Wait are rockstar supporting, Single player mods ? or are they trying to block everything and encrypt the shit out of  everything ?

Do they realize gta iv was so populor and still people playing it actually , pretty much because lcpdr and modding community ?  bad mistake imo

No, this has nothing to do with rockstar being against modding. They simply updated some hashes and code in certain areas, resulting in the scripthook being temporarily broken. once the creator of the V-Scripthook can see these new hashes and such, he'll edit around the scripthook and update it, making it work for the current version. It's just because people are trying to run a scripthook meant for an OUTDATED version of the game, simply won't work.

If they were really, REALLY against modding altogether they simply would of blocked it by now. They're pretty much neutral on the matter, they aren't against singleplayer mods, but they don't support them either. No matter what they do however modders will always figure out a way to get around it, its just a matter of how difficult they make it.

Rockstar can't block mods. To paraphrase a webcomic, "Being immune to modding is like being immune to surgery." Modding involves replacing system libraries that the game has to load, in order to launch our own code, which then directly writes, reads, and jumps to locations in memory in order to do what we want. You can't prevent this; it's something that will always be possible with code executed on your own computer. Rockstar tries pretty hard to block modding. The encrypted files? That's an anti-modding thing. The fact that the whole game executable is essentially encrypted on disk, and decrypted when loaded? Anti-modding. Modding involves working around things specifically designed to prevent it.

Because of the nature of GTA Online (i.e. same files as V), it is extremely difficult to separate V modding from Online modding. Any such separation would have to be purely because the modder wants it; Rockstar can't enforce it. To use the hashes as an example, having different hashes online and in story is sheer madness. V and Online are the same game; Rockstar advertises them separately, but internally they're different modes of the same thing.
