@Harper, hmmm that's actually very smart if ya think about it, while the ambulance is to big to swerve through traffic, you have this here mini cooper with mad swagger to swerve in and out of traffic like a boss cause it's so small, the mini cooper saved the day! :P

In my area they use Vovlo V50's or V70's instead of a mini

@Harper, i've never even seen a mini cooper or even a volvo used for emergency use, i've seen charger's and crown vic's and tahoes and the stanadard ambulance, yes canada is very deprived of unique emergency use. hell, i've only ever seen an unmarked Impala that HRP uses, that's the closest to unique that i've ever seen.

Is there a handling line for the prius? i've really taken to it :wub:

You do realize that Volvos aren't unusual in European Law Enforcement? We don't use cvpis, imps and chargers over here.

I actually didn't know that, i'm canadian, and have never seen a vehicle that isn't either chevy, dodge or ford, i've never been to europe, the farthest out of the country i've been is Dallas Texas, and still only saw dallas police chargers and state trooper crown vic's

EDIT: a strange bug with the prius, i used quick boost and made it up to 286km/h and the car through me out the driver door lol.. also, the car sometimes buck's like a horse

Here in Norway the police and ambulance service uses Volvo, Volkswagen and Mercedes and Toyotas. Fire dep. usally uses SCANIA, Volvo, Mercedes and MAN engines. ; )

About the "prius", are you using the dilettante handling line?

i switched the car to the flyus perennial, would that make a difference? your country must have a shit ton of money to spend if they are using mercedez for emergency vehicles lol the economy isn't very good out here in the maritimes so we can't really afford those thing's :P

In the UK, our emergency services don't use the big ass american car's like CVPI's because of two reasons;

- They don't fit onto our roads

- Their miles to the gallon is terrible.

We use BMW's, Vauxhalls, Volvo's etc.

It may do. Try to use the dilettante handling to see it that works better for you.

Well, its Norway. We do allright! :sweat: But of course, Mercedes do offer some basic, more cheaper models. No need to buy the most luxurious and most expensive model.

ANYWHOO, in other news I've started on completing a project a modder named Kinksta (is he a user here maybe?) started on, but didn't finish:

A 2010 VW Passat station wagon.

19635059.jpg

Kinksta "semi"-converted it to IV and made it work ingame, but there are some parts missing that I need to fill in and I need to move some things around and so on. Also it's waaay to high poly, about 8mb with all the LODs in place, so I need to cut down on several things and make it less poly-licious.

CREDITS:

- SA model by alper93.

- Converted to IV by Kinksta.

- Mapping and template by Kinksta.

- Fixed and freshened up by corleone.

- FS Legend lightbar by RE, converted and modified to IV by corleone.

@Slimory:

Mercedes isn't just a super-luxury car maker. Keep in mind that Germany is much closer to European countries than the US is. (Also, at least in Germany, I'd assume some bias towards domestic cars, just like in the US).

@others:

Do police in other countries even really use sedans, or is it mostly station wagons?

In Norway we mostly use station wagons.

45% station wagons.

15% sedans.

30% vans. (Norwegian police looove their Mercedes Vito vans)

10 % SUVs.

From what I understand European ambulances don't drive quickly anyway. They drive really slow because they supposedly have more equipment inside than the US ones do. There was a lot of controversy over Princess Diana's death because some people claim if she had been in the U.S. and one of our ambulances with less equipment built-in rushed her to a hospital where they have better surgeons and doctors, she would have lived. I suppose that's all up to speculation though.

Having more equipment may prove an advantage in itself.So can be the case with speed.Depends on the situation.

Sad that there doesn't seem to be a way to prepare for both. If only every street could have a "GTFO OF MY WAY" lane for emergency vehicles only.

Yeah,Nikolai is right.Sorry Corleone.

@Harper: I thought they were just for "showing off" purposes? Don't get me wrong but Germany's 911 Carrera and Britain's LP640 police cars were just 'one of a kinds' and were not meant to be used by the "force".I had a Belgian friend and their police force used Q7 and Lambos as well and he said that they too were just for "show off".
