California University Bans American Flag

I'll just address this particular issue and then close the bracket on my end since it's not the topic. It's a proven fact (proven as in demonstrated by every single organization world wide) that the US are the second most polluting country in the world. Not because of your cars, planes, or things like that, every country has those, but for example because of your coal powerplants (which is the most polluting energy production), gas leaked by pipelines as well as your exploitation of shale gas which is forbidden in most countries because highly polluting and nocive to fauna and flora. Those three are just a little examples of the many reasons why the US are polluting so much. I'm not a tree hugger either, but I am conscious that human is responsible for many problems. While majority of the countries accepted to sign the treaties to limit our polluting activity to reduce our impact on nature degradation, US (along with China, how peculiar) refused to sign up, for no reason, participating in ruining the world ecosystem. If you think the planet can take care of itself, you are totally, -totally- wrong, and that's not an opinion but a fact. US government, politics and citizens could decide to change those and for example to go for less polluting ways to produce electricity, energy or fuel, but they don't want to, which is a selfish behavior (another thing that makes other countries hate on you, quite fairly).

That's why I think it's a bit funny to see you quote Roosevelt about nature and all when you are actually disrespecting it on many, if not all levels.

Well, have you ever thought that is may also be the size and population that has to be kept up with? Those coal pants and gas pipelines are responsible for providing the citizens with the energy and resources we need. Also, I respectfully disagree that the Earth can't take care of itself. If we all die because of our own actions, the Earth will recover, just as it did after the meteor struck Earth and practically killed everything. And if not, then God will take care of it, but that's a debate for another day. :)

  • If you are going to beat someone up over an opinion they have then you are not someone I want representing my country.

Wait CriminalKillaz, you know thats ILLEGAL right? It doesn't matter what your reasons are for doing it, its ILLEGAL. I thought you were against doing things that were ILLEGAL? Its against the LAW.

This is where liberalism starts become hilarious. I beat you in our political argument, and you're angry so you decide to come back and take cheap blunt jabs at everything I say. If you have I argument, go away. What you're doing right now is called spam, and it isn't appreciated.

So what you are saying is that if it was an American with that opinion, you wouldn't care? The Constitution gives Americans the rights that any human should have, just because our law only applies to us doesn't mean the general rights shouldn't apply to everyone.

If an American said what Illusionary said I'd be even more offended. How can you be an American and be so ignorant? If the US flag means nothing to you, get out. Illusionary is an Australian. I don't appreciate it when a foreigner ignorantly criticizes the U.S. He clearly doesn't know what he's talking about, and that's where I begin to have a problem. He doesn't have an opinion, all he's doing is taking blunt, cheap jabs at the U.S.

Even if he does so, he's free to do so. Who are you to tell who should do what? If he wants to disrespect the US, it's his own right and you can't take it away from him. Using violence against that just reveals your true nature, I suppose.

He has a point - there's even more hypocrisy in saying doing things that are illegal is wrong, regardless of your reasoning; then saying you would beat someone up and flee (or whatever your "way" of avoiding getting arrested is).

Since you also like definitions so much:

o·pin·ion

noun

a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

I'm pretty sure what Illusionary said about flags falls into this definition. I'm not going to bother arguing this further, but the point still stands that violence is not the answer. You can argue all you want, but I don't see the need to ever get physical over something a person says.
