Glad to see feedback like this. Would've never thought that an Altima made such an impact :D   @Hystery: yea well, hm... Actually I'm not planning on doing it, but I actually don't hesitate to give

well, the civilian version is intended to replace the Pinnacle, since that's pretty much a vehicle based on the Altima...

Interior cmong along nicely inside the vehicle, reardoors finished (with doorsills)

front dashboard and gauges, etc will be detailed, the rear not so much.

I have already identified the slot I'll be installing this baby in. Can't wait. It'll serve alongside the NY(LC)PD Ford Fusion in my game to make the environment feel more ambient and realistic.

Just a bump to notify you that a (locked) Beta of the civilian model is now available in the first post. I would say it's roughly between 90-100% finished, if you find bugs, just tell me.

Copy of the OP:

Features:

Complete exterior, interior, engine, trunk and doorsills

All LOD levels present (L1 and L2 models)

Custom COL model(s)

Hands on steering wheel

No broken tire bug(? not sure, but should be)

Wheels are colorable (channel 2)

Spoiler (with brakelight) as extra

L0, L1, L2 models completely dirt mapped

When the lights break, you have some see through parts. This is not finished, yet.

Part of the left front light can be seen through the engine when the bonnet is opened, this will be fixed.

Final version will have illuminated interior controls

Maybe I'll also up a template later, so some of you folks can already try to make some skins if you desire.

Will the license plate be templated?

Also, the badge on the trunk is removed on the NYPD version.

Looks good otherwise!

My System:

Intel i7-2600k | ASUS P67 Sabertooth | NVIDIA GTX 560ti | Corsair 750W PSU | Corsair Vengeance 8GB | Lamptron Fan-Atic

Yea and it will also get different rims and a hybrid badge instead of the 3.5 badge

Edit: and yea, the plates will probably be mapped on the template.

This...is...excellent!

Good eye for swapping the 3.5SE badging for the Hybrid badging! Your NYPD lightbar is a bit off though. However, if I'm understanding correctly, this is a non-ELS version you're making? In which case it's cool. I'll let it slide  .  But, as an NYC area modder I'd love to take a crack at a proper NYPD ELS variant (the UC Taxi Altima as well).

Damn you work fast! So far it's very impressive, later on I'm going to take out the civilian version for a spin. A tiny detail missing (from what I see on images), it seems that the NYPD Altima's have like additional mudguards on the main body. God I don't know how to describe it, they look like plastic covers on the back of the wheel arches, the front one sticks out quite a lot. If you don't understand what I'm talking about (who would) I suggest just search for a few images and examine the rear of the wheel arches.

Well, I'm not really a lightbar crack and don't know that much about it. I have just taken a lightbar here from LCPD:FR, it's a Federal Signal Vector by F5544 and Lt.Caine. Some textures weren't applied in those screenshots though.

I have also been thinking of simply making the police version without any real police equipment (read: Lightbars, interior equipment) and just finish all the body changes, then people can add new lightbars, etc...

Yea, I think I know what you mean, at least I have noticed something as well, which I think is the same thing.

Talking about this?

I'm not really content with the rims though, I have never managed to make good rims, so the ones you saw on the latest screens... Actually they were placeholders, but maybe they do make it into the final version, to be honest.

Next thing I'm gonna do is probably a little antenna on the back of the roof and possibly those mudguards.

Edit: ^scratch that
