Whenever I get calls I can accept them without any crash, but when I arrive to the blue area - e.g. the call, the suspect car is there, but the AI police car and officer are not.  Any ideas of what I could do to fix this?

No error log?  I suspect you are also one of those people that are having issues with the current spawn system.  I'm hoping to have a new version up this weekend, which will try a new method.  Currently I'm spawning the police car based off the criminals car position, and some peoples computers don't seem to like that.  Are you using the most recent version?

I have the most recent version as of this post - the older version said the script was active but never would give me callouts so it's moving the right direction :)  and no, no log file.  It doesn't crash, and suspect car spawns just not the other officer or their car.  I never get the "get in a good support position" or whatever that message exactly is as it shows in the video.  Just the suspect car, and the blue circle for the call area.

I'm currently running it on 1.1, I ran it yesterday for thereabouts 2 hours, the callout works well, although it's quite a rare callout, then again I'm running a large amount of scripts and plug-ins. I'm very impressed with your scripts, they're outstanding.

GREAT!  Im excited to hear that and it saves me time.  I mean I suspected this - but the next release is going to be geared towards ONLY 1.1 - I'm going to keep the older versions posted for people that want to keep running 1.0 series, but the new one I'll be able to get rid of the lights toggling off (to prevent siren sound) because LMS added to the API that I'll now have more control over the siren sound, and lights - I havent gotten to test it yet but I'm excited because thats one of the little touches that drove me nuts that I really couldn't get a decent work around for.

 

On top of that I might add additional out-comes to the normal traffic stop (rarely ask the person to step out and placed under arrest by the Primary Officer)

 

Lastly I'm going to start adding more people to the cars, currently, its always only one person - I think it would be a really cool "CRAP WHAT DO I DO!?" If the passenger decides to bail and run on the stop, while the driver picks to comply.  Gonna be even better if the Primary also picks to either stay, or chase the guy - so you'll have to pay attention to his actions and vibe off him.  I've been working on that slowly - I'm trying to round out my latest work (Police Orders) and get that thing up to par in terms of working correctly all the time and being user friendly.

I love the sound of that! Having used this script for a while now, I have to admit that this is my favorite callout, hands down. It's one of the few that really adds depth to the world, and makes it feel like you're not the one doing all the work. This is exactly the type of thing we need more of.

That all sounds good.  I ran it on 1.1 - crashed the 1st time (I suspect it was a combination of it all - game was lagging then script was last straw, not something in the script since it didn't repeat), but then ran like normal after that BUT no police car or officer still.  I will take a good drive around next time it spawns one and see if I randomly see a lost police officer :)

Fin, so does this mean that the Els "ClearAiExtrasDist" should always be lower than the (Els_Range_Pl, and Els_Range_Ai)?

To be honest, we didn't get any type of change in behavior from changing that value.  I would be able to comment on it but I didn't look up what that truly meant.  We did find however that most users only need to adjust the Els_Range_Ai, but some also had to change range_pl... :|

 

Thanks out to Jeff for helping me narrow this down.  He was having large issues for the better part of 2 hours and stuck with me while I sent him quick builds, I was able to narrow it down to ELS after all this testing...

Good to hear. The next version I release will be damn near bullet proof, put so many protects in there while testing with a group, and in the end we found out it was ELS...

Each release improves on your already stellar addition to LCPDFR. Great concept and the crash and bug fixes have greatly improved stability. I concur with most of the other fans that it was a well planned, well executed, and much needed addition. Excellent work.

this is one of the best new scripts in a while. mine doesn't crash but i have only received 2 callouts since i first installed it. it worked perfectly when i did get the calls. so i guess i am one of the ones who needs more spawns :D thanks for a great script Fin!

Thanks for the positive replies guys.  I'll keep at it - there are some that are still having issues - but very few.  I'd say my at a ratio of around 80% of the people that get it, and follow the directions it works well for.

 

As of right now, my plan is to keep expanding the spawn area when I have time.

When responding to a felony car stop, instead of parking directly behind the 1st unit, can we pull up beside him in a true felony stop fashion? Stopping directly behind isn't to realistic. Also, I keep getting calls to the exact same alley on a normal business as usual stop, is there a way to omit alley spawn / stops all together? When the suspect takes his ticket and drives off he crashes into the walls and even our own units at times which at that point the realism is gone.

Are you forcing the callout?

 

There is not way to currently exlucde the alleyway backups.  Thats just poor AI driving, not much I can do about that.  I have the alleys mix'd in with the side streets...

 

As for parking where you want, simply pull up close behind... then position your car - easy as that.  The cars not REQUIRED to stay there, its just a trigger of events.
