  • I do not agree.    OpenIV is much more user friendly, at least in my opinion, and if I were you, I would use winRAR. But that's my opinion, and well, it's a personal thing.

  • Welcome to the forums! If you mean the LCPDFR mod, this is all you need: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>   There are a plethora of other mods in our downloads section: https://

  • Adding to the above: It is MUCH better to post in the forums for support, as asking members benefit only 2, not the entire community as posting in the forums does.

Keep in mind that no third-party mod is officially supported with LCPDFR, and may cause issues.

If you have a support request, be sure to search the forums. There's a huge chance that your question has been asked and answered before by someone else :)

Welcome to the forum! Since I've been here I have had a great, friendly, exciting experience with the community. For the most part, everyone here is very friendly and welcoming so long as you aren't a troll. While I have had a few run-ins with other members, in the end I do enjoy talking to (almost) everyone here. If you have any newbie questions about the website feel free to open a support topic, OR private message me. I'l try to help you as best as I can, and if not I'll point you in the right direction. I'm not good with LCPDFR support, but I can try. Just hit me up! :)

hey trevor :D welcome to the forums!! always good to see new members..especially if they are active members. as stated above there are plenty of things to look at and check out here. ask questions before you do anything if you aren't sure and ALWAYS make backup copies of your game before you add mods. If ya need one-on-one support, i am also available to help via messaging. good luck and be patient when trying out this mod. its subject to crash from time to time and as always beware of the paramedics in the game  they are deadly lol.

http://www.gta4-mods.com/textures/newest-first/13I was wondering if your mods includes textures and stuff. Like I said im new to modding GTA my copy I ordered arrives tomorrow. I'm guessing downloaded cars and textures and weapons from that site would cause this mod to crash.

Thanks for the vid Steele.

On a side note as a firefighter and soon to be Police Officer I start this summer I saw YouTube vids of this mod it is very accurate and realistic it pretty much recreated the job officers do everyday and I have a few cop friends that play and like this mod.

LCPD:FR does not include vehicles, and LCPDFR itself shouldn't interfere or cause problems with the vehicles or vice-versa. However script mods such as Emergency Lighting System (ELS for short) which uses modified components in the vehicles, can cause crashes, but nothing that should interfere with LCPDFR. Also, "high-poly" vehicles may cause memory leaks (which causes that everything around you vanishes except cars or props) but that depends on how good your computer is, so if you have time, please share your specs!

I recommend non-ELS cars for patrols which in my opinion decreases crashes a lot.

Weapon mods shouldn't cause problems although I rarely use them.

Ok thanks :). And was watching another guy play it on his YouTube vids he use the Els stuff it crashed a bit but a few videos later he got it working good.

And idk I'll have to check the specs for the PC I'm using it's just temporary until I buy my new one.

So would I have to download the regular vehicle before I can add textures to it like NYPD textures how does that work?

Well you could just download a car that includes the NYPD textures, like this one: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

That is my preferred method, simple.

Or you could just download a Crown Victoria and then look for a texture and apply it, most crown victorias have identical texture templates, so most CVPI templates should fit for almost any Crown Vic.
