Ten things you need to know about Isis

Featured Replies

Hey guys here is an interesting video on Isis and a lot of interesting facts about them.

Warning: do not look at the YouTube comments, you'll lose faith in humanity.

Also quick question, which religion is the most violent?

People interpret religion differently. A religion may be very peaceful to one person, but may preach hate to someone else. Like Westboro Baptist Church, they interpret the bible differently than a normal Christian. That is what's going on with ISIS and other terrorist groups, they turn a sentence in a holy book and interpret it in an extremist way.

actually some of the comments are spot on....the UN is just as much of a threat if not more of a threat then isis they can take away a countrys sovereignty In the name of "security" we don't need a UN anyway its pretty ignorant of you to tell people not to look at the comments

Alright I got it, it's the people that are violent not the religion.

Okay so I'm reading a lot YouTube comments saying the u.s government is funding and they're responsible for the creation of Isis, I highly doubt this is true or am I just clueless?

To fully understand ISIS or ISIL whichever they would rather be called, and how they were created backtracking through middle eastern history sheds a lot of light on the subject. The problems in the middle east, namely ISIS are immensely complex problems often intertwining with clashing cultural, religious or regional views. To expect these huge answers to be laid out on a forum simply won't happen, the issues span far back into history and do not have a clear right or wrong answer.

So if people REALLY want to know more about ISIS, then start looking up some history of the middle eastern region, the answers are there, you just have to look a little bit deeper for them.

Now if you everyone wants something you should REALLY know about ISIS

In the late 20th century, the U.S. armed the men in the Middle East to fight the Russians. That's why today they have American gear.  They said, "Thanks for the guns, now we're gonna betray you! *Ratatatatatatat*".

Hey guys, I was reading a YouTube comment and someone was suggesting that we should just nuke Iraq and Syria and that that is the best solution and majority of people agreed with him, so would nukeing an entire country really slove this Isis problem?

No religion is violent. People are violent. There's a difference.

Most people think this because most wars a caused by religion

Yeah we are. The US historically likes to covertly help rebels overthrow countries that they deem a threat to the western world. Only problem is one lunatic makes it a jihad against the west (Bin Laden, ISIS,etc).

On a 2nd note, extreme western liberals, and supporters of ISIS like to justify their actions, because the US is killing their citizens. While yes, we are inadvertently, their the ones that are targeting their fellow muslims. Go on any of the uncensored media sites, and you'll see videos all over their pages of ISIS suicide bombers detonating near mosques, and Islamic cities. They're the ones killing their citizens blatantly, and they have the balls to call US OUT on it?

I'm tired of us Pussyfooting around in the ME. Either GTFO, or go blitzkrieg on their ass!

Ain't you talking about Afghanistan, where local mujaheddin were supported by NATO in 70's? They don't have much connection with ISIL and don't use American gear. On the other hand, ISIL uses many U.S. surplus taken from Iraq army, but Iraq was not "armed by the U.S. to fight the russians".

True that. There only 12 thousand of those fanatics, damn it! I saw that pic, no know how accurate is it, but still, with proper NATO support locals may effectively deal with ISIL. Unless the disturbance there is useful for someone...

Great idea, kill 45 million people just to get rid of ~30 000 soldiers. Definitely the best solution so far.

It honestly hurts my head how somebody could even propose such an imbecilic idea, let alone how anybody could take it seriously.

If The US and Russia would stop fighting like children, I'm sure the UN would have this issue in the bag.

Agreed, i know we had some difficulties in the past, but come on get over yourself, my opinion just shut up and get along already, it's not that hard.

why don't you research that yourself? asking on here is not going to get you answers as a lot of people on here are misinformed but to answer your question yes the cia funded and train al queda and isis how else do you think they got all those weapons and where do you think they got there training from? the goal of these terror groups are to destabilize the middle east....order out of chaos...terror means fear so we are in a war on fear?....okay

It was a Youtube commenter. Youtube comments aren't known for suggesting their authors have at least the reasoning ability of, say, a 10-year-old. Quite the opposite, actually.
