LCPDFR 2.0 shouldn't exist. The work should go towards GTA V.

No, that isn't a good idea because there are many people in this community that would prefer to have it off. That is why it is optional. For them to do that would be quite ridiculous.

  • How is ELS V8 not realistic enough? The door glitching and god-mode bugs were fixed, so why the need for more realism? Referring to idea #7.

Pull over Vehicles not only in Front of my Car.

(This would be nice for german Police cars, i dont know if other Countries doing it in the same way)

German Police usually goes in front of the vehicle and activates the "Stop Police" or "Police Follow" Sign.

i mean like in your car your player bending over and pressing the siren box button

Not to burst your bubble...

That would be a animation, it is not needed because (unless you have the First Person Mod) you will never really see it. Plus, a lot of different car models have their "siren box" located in different places, making it look kinda weird. Since there is no animation, they would have to make it themselves and I think that would be a bit hard or extra work for them to do. I don't know if it is hard, but I think they or you know what i'm trying to say. (No offense intended)

That would need an animation, of which there is not. Unless there's a general "player moves arm while driving" animation...it would hardly be noticeable. Edit: I guess the changing radio station animation could work for that...but like I said, hardly noticeable.

Actually there is, somewhat. When you change the in-game radio station, the player reaches down as to actually change the station. That could work..I guess.

yeah exactly ! eventhough I use hardcore, I think more options which you can choose from is better in all cases ! In my opinion even rockstars should have made more versions of car handling/damage like in Mafia 2 for instance (you could have chosen between arcade/simulator driving there) ... People will always complain about driving for instance ... for some guys GTA IV was terrible and hard to control, for others GTA V is way to arcadeish ( and I personally hate it) , so I think it would be awesome if rockstars would actually make two versions you could choose from - simulator/arcade ...

WOW i watch you on youtube!

At the risk of repeating many of the same items, here are ideas to improve the next version of LCPDFR.  First just let me point out that everyone who has worked on LCPDFR and the supporting scripts and models have done a wonderful job and I love it.

·         More slow priority calls, or mundane calls.

o   As many have pointed out most of police work is on the slower side and consists of gathering information and putting APBs on suspects or vehicles.  I would like to see a lot more of these types of calls and less of the “action movie” policing.  The best way is to have a settings file that will allow the individual to tweak the numbers to their liking if at all possible.

·         Ability to adjust AI reaction to police.

o   Right now I feel that the public is way too hostile towards the police, they are way too eager to pull out an AK47 and start shooting up half the town.  Some people may be okay with this setting but I for one would like to see less resistance for a more realistic feel.

·         Taser have a more powerful effect

o   Seriously after tasing someone five or more times they should just give up already.  Currently most of the AI refuses to give up until they are shot dead.  In reality tasers after a successful hit or two would bring most people to terms with their fate and give up.  I would like to see them cooperate a lot more than they do now.

·         Under Cover work

o   I think it would be cool to have an officer undercover where you sell drugs or pick up prostitutes and take them to a staging area where they are arrested.

·         Rare events

o   I think it would be cool to pull over a van or large vehicle for a minor violation and find a meth lab or huge stash of drugs, weapons inside making it a huge bust!  This tends to happen when a vehicle gets pulled over for a broken tail light and bam.

There are a few ideas, now I understand that you may or may not be able to do these.  I’m not a modder myself so I don’t know how much you will be able to mess with but I thought I might as well put my opinion out there.  Good day everyone

Any More Ideas? Post Below! Youtube Channle WyazTheXGamerz

Honestly, you can (and should) do almost all of this yourself.  We're not going to combine other mods with LCPDFR as that is for you to do.  That is what makes modding.  Picking and choosing what you want!

The only thing you listed that isn't possible is #5, and this is something we've tried a lot before but have found really hard to get right.  You can control traffic in 1.0c using the checkpoint + QAM feature, by the way.

I'd say that the callouts are for you guys to address.  The API was made for a reason and I'd love to see more people use it.

Regarding AI reaction to the police, I actually sometimes think we've made a lot of progress with this in 1.0 and everyone is in general far more likely to cooperate.  Sure, it could maybe do with some refining, but I honestly don't think it is half bad.

1.) During traffic stops, vehicles pull over to the right ALL of the time

2.) Be able to do a vehicle search

3.) A better variety of callouts (and more realistic) without having to use plugins that will crash/make the game slow (medical alarms, other medical calls, house/building alarms, aggressive driving, disputes-more argumentative than physical, different MVAs-3 car, 2 car, 1 vehicle hit something like a lamppost or tree, some having injuries, others may not have any injuries, rarely death...)

4.) Officers directing/blocking off a lane of traffic when needed

5.) Being able to call for an additional unit on a traffic stop and officers in a police car neatly and realistically pulling up behind you with their lights on, getting out and walking over and staying with the vehicle while you are running their info on the police computer and/or just hanging out by the pulled over car like a real officer would do on a routine traffic stop

6.) Being able to pull over more than one vehicle

7.) Having more citation amounts that would be more realistic based off of the offense

8.) When you run someone's info on the police computer and it says "Times Stopped" and "Citations", have reasons for each one (Times Stopped: 2, Failed to use directional, aggressive driving. Citations: 2, Tailgating, speeding)

9.) Have the list of all callouts in the lcpdfr.ini file and a value next to them; the lower the value the less likely you are to have that callout, the higher the value the more likely you are to have that callout

10.) In the lcpdfr.ini file, under pursuits, be able to control how often you have vehicle pursuits when pulling over a vehicle (same concept as #9)

I'm not implying that LCPDFR 1.0 isn't good, it really is great and this mod has definitely come a long way, but these suggestions can and would make LCPDFR a more realistic mod. And when GTA V comes out on PC, the ideas/procedures could be the same.

1. I'd say we've done all that we can regarding this matter (leaps and bounds have been made compared to earlier versions anyway).

2. It'd be nice.

3. API.

4. Complete AI nightmare.

5. Yes, I often desire this myself.  It is complicated from a technical standpoint though as determining the player's intentions can be quite hard.  If they call for backup on a traffic stop, we can change it to be so that they come and assist with the stop, but that isn't very useful if you called backup because someone else started shooting.  Not ruling this out by any means though.

6. Bit of a technical and AI nightmare.

7. I might change it to 50, 100, 300.

8. API

9. Not a bad idea.

10. Seems a little too much like a cheat/trainer.

LCPDFR 2.0 shouldn't exist. The work should go towards GTA V.

This is hopefully a likely scenario.
