I'm getting the same thing. I guess it's a memorial to 9/11, and I really appreciate the team doing that. Thank you for giving respect to the families who lost loved ones and friends alike on that tragic day.

Yea I got it too, I felt like I got hacked for a min there. But in all seriousness I think this will always be a day we will never forget and should be observed accordingly, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to spam the game with every PED repeating the same thing until the game is almost unplayable. Just a thought. Besides that, it's a great gesture to our country, the families, and all of the men and women in uniform who gave their lives serving others that day.

While Fuel816 and my self were playing online we discovered 9/11 quotes while on a traffic stop.. At first we got a little spooked when it happened...... In all Seriousness this was really awesome of LCPDFR to activate this in our game.

Not to be rude or anything, I feel sorry for USA but my country was bombarded many many times with many victims. Anyway, the addon is making my game extremely laggy so it's unplayable. Is there any option to turn it off?

More than likely not. The only solution would to wait until tomorrow to play, unfortunately. 

The way I speculate they implemented this system was with a System.DateTime check (would check to see if the local machine time is equal to 9/11). I may not be American, nor are the devs but it is very admirable of you (the LCPDFR developers) to put this check in place. It's times like these were people grow respect for one another. Good job G17 media!

You could probably change the date on your computer a day forward/back and hope for the best.

It´s a really nice way to honor the victims of 9/11 ! I really didn´t expect to see something like that :)

 

But I think it would be much better if only like every 20th man would say something ... When you patrol and ride through the city, your screen is full of writings and most of them I can´t even read, because it quickly dissapears when you pass those guys ... but what completely destroyed the whole moment for me was when I pulled over a taxi driver, I walked up to his window, he said "we will never forget " , I said to myself what a nice guy and as I reached to his window he pulled gun on me and killed me ...

i think one day of remembering the thousands of lives lost in a horrific act of terrorism, hundreds of lives lost to those trying to help rescue and an entire nation feeling the effects wont kill ya. ill play laggy all day seeing all the civilians in Liberty making sure 9-11-01 will never be forgotten.

 

Since December 7, 1941 we ( the US ) have not seen any type of terrorism or act of violence to this magnitude on our soil. Not sure where your from, but take this day and remember those who were lost in your home land.

I'm from Poland and for about 20 minutes of playing LCPD:FR I start thinking about bug or something. Then I saw '11th', 'fire', 'ash' and then I know what is going on. But it's okay. That what happened was really shocking not only for USA but for Europe too. Sorry for any faults in language.

With all due respect, i like the fact that 9/11 is still alive and well in everybodies mind, and although i was in Manhattan the day it happened (holidays, 12 years old) i dont want to see this in my game. Not only is it very annoying but there is no option to turn it off whatsoever. The only thing that worked is that i moved the date to be the 12th now and its gone.

well they cant please everyone... for those who don't like it just take solace in the fact it will be gone tomorrow and the world isn't over it's just one day i think y'all can handle it i know the world outside your rooms is scary but its ok it wont bite :)     

 

 

anyway this is a nice memorial im going to a ravens football game today and they usually always do something awesome in memorial i heard today they're gonna have the blue angels do a show at the harbor where Our world trade center is
