The Wasteland - callouts for Bohan

What's a world event& Oo I mean I understand what it is, but how am I supposed to see a wanted person...? Recently I was patrolling on foot and saw a guy marked with a red bleap. I stopped and frisked him, he was clean, the bleep disappeared. Was it the case?

  • ---   That aside, it's great to see this mod released to much critical acclaim. You've done some great work here, LtFlash, and I cannot commend your efforts enough. :)

  • The mod has reached 10,000 downloads. Thank you!

  • I think this is just the kind of work Robocop needs in Liberty City. Great work!

As an Officer you got a 6th sense to spot armed people, they walk differently, are nervous and stuff like that. Pics of wanted persons are shown on roll-calls. Now - after spotting a suspect which has that red arrow above his head you'll see a displayed text (subtitle-like) which tell you what's the reason of spotting this specific individual. While searching one you'll find a gun, it turns out (s)he is wanted or it appears you failed miserably and the person is innocent like a child. There are also some more or less obvious scenarios that could happen, you'll see  :teehee:

tl;dr version:

It's like drunk person but the person isn't drunk.

Flash, you gotta hear this!

So, I was called to assist with a man with a gun to Northern Gardens. I arrive on the scene, equip my assist-favorite shotgun, and we advance. The perp notices us and opens fire, so he gets one in the guts and fells on the ground. And all of a sudden I hear shots.. from behind? I turn round and see a black Cavalcade with two guys in leather jackets shooting at us! Officers open fire, one catches a bullet in the head and falls on the ground while I scream for backup being suppressed behind a corner (an UZI machine gun is not to be joked with on the Hardcore mode). A backup unit approach from the far end of the street, and the shooters turn round and run for it. (at this point I was able to call the pursuit on them making this all a pursuit event)

Me and three other officers engage in a foot pursuit, then suddenly one guy turns round ans starts shooting at us while the other guy carjacks an Esperanto! Paying no attention to the shooter I hop on an abandoned motorcycle and follow the other guy in his Esperanto, and then I see another officer who took a Blista. Together we chased him down to the Broker tollbooths where his car lost control and crashed. He was successfully arrested by the tollbooth cops a second later.

Really awesome callout mod. Only issue is stuff like gangfights can't be stopped/the AI are unresponsive to LCPDFR. I've had times tazing them 50 times and beating them but they wont stop fighting. I believe I cuffed one and he kept trying to fight, lol. It's been a while since I used it though, look forward to trying it again after re-installing GTA.

Glad you like it. Yes, I'm aware of this issue, it will be solved with a small addition like suspects' reaction on warning shot, beating (sth like in 'EMS needs assistance' call) etc. Unfortunately I won't have enough free time soon so the release date has 'TBA' status.

Feel free to post questions, suggestions, stories, screenshots connected with the mod and have a good time playing it!

How do I use this awesome mod?

I am currently in the first safehouse you get throughout the end of the first introduction mission... If you know what I mean; GTA IV (NOT EFLC...)

Any way shape of form feedback would be amazing, thank you!

I assume you installed the mod properly (you find the instruction in readme file, don't forget to read the guide!). To receive callouts you need to enter the borough of Bohan and wait for a randomly picked call. You also can open a console and use "twguide" to show a list of callouts' names to force-start them using "startcallout [name]". In case of any doubts post here your questions.

Nice!

Wasteland has been by far my favourite callout pack for IV - I only just found out there was an Algonquin version!

Do you have any plans to bring callouts with this level of depth/realism to Gta V?

Ekalb,

thanks for the kind words! At this moment I can't think of developing under V due to serious lack of free time. I've got a couple features to finish in "Wasteland". Some of 'em should be published with the incoming release, a couple of more (more interesting) in an unspecified future. That's all what I'm certain of. Unfortunately.

Can you move the *.dll file of this mod out of the Plugins folder and try to run LCPD:FR? I wonder if this error will occur since I can't tell it from the log you provided.

I know it exists but I'm not able to help you with your issue. I suggest to contact the author via the mod's forum thread.
