And how long did it take you to get 16k subs? 99% of YT uploaders don't even reach that amount in a year. So unless Vic has a unique idea, i would say that it's too time consuming for not enough pay.

I am going to be on my 2nd year in 17 days. This is more of a long term idea for him. So, you're right.

  • Get older, get a job. 13 is extremely young for a game like GTA.

  • Sell drugs. That's what I did. Coke, heroin, anything hard really. Weed isn't that great because there isn't a lot of room for profit and a pretty big competition. I suggest taking a trip down to Colo

  • If not drugs there is always prostitution.

Its summer bro, at 13, yard work and manual labor for people is your best bet, and http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QTvjNG this is for you to pick and choose from what you need, or just keep it like it is, it'll run almost anything you throw at it with 50+ fps.

But seriously...start a lawn care "company" if you don't really know what to do (you're cutting grass...not that hard) then just watch some youtube videos. And DON'T waste your money on crap. and when cutting other peoples lawns....DO IT RIGHT! Then you should be good.

Apparently LCPDFR has become the place for lonely hearts & job listings..

Show an employer your anxious to work, perhaps under the table, I got my first job as a dishwasher when I was 11, so it's not impossible, owner of the hotel was so impressed he said if I couldn't get a workers permit he'd pay me out of his pocket.

I believe it's cheaper to build your own computer?

True, I built my computer with around £400 and it can run the latest games at good quality. As for earning money just go to a discount store buy a bunch of products and sell them o at double the price. as your 13 people will buy it without even thinking about the fact they saw it in a shop 100% cheaper. Trust me I bought 20 soaps at 50p and sold for a £1 each on the street. That's £10 in about 2 hours.

But he lives in Sweden, there is no grass in Sweden!

lol 4 real? :D

I went into a local computer place about a month ago when I got the new parts for my computer, upgrade parts, he's like "I wouldn't recommend you building your own computer if you aren't sure what your doing, but we will do the build for $75.00 & $25.00/hr after the first hour' yeah no thanks I built the computer, couldn't get it to turn on, so I took it to the place I went & buddy took the back off & was looking around inside, couldn't find what the problem was by looking at it so he was like "I could hook this up to the machine to see what the problem is, but that's $50.00 & if that doesn't work that's $100.00 to take it apart & put it back together properly" the other tech was watching the whole transaction, comes over takes a look & say's "Oh, you just got these 2 wires backwards", so I told the guy that helped his partners a joke.. I'd been in there 4 times that day & everytime I went in, he tried upselling me on everything I wanted to buy, greedy bastards, that's why building the computer yourself is a good idea.

Wash cars, offer to help people do odd jobs over the summer, ask all your family and friends if they need help with anything.   Tell them you need to earn some cash.  They probably have lots of chores they don't really want to do.  Wont be fun but its cash.  Teach seniors how to use computers or how to get rid of viruses and speed up their computer.  Most people are afraid to run an adware/malware removal software, setup a free antivirus program and defrag hard drive easy $25 bucks.  Break down what you need.  $1500 in 4 months means you only need to make about $100 a week.  10 $10 dollar jobs a week.

I'm not in any way trying to deter you from getting a job, it is one of the best things for teens to do, it teaches responsibility for your money. But please, for the love of God, DO NOT work in the food industry. It was the worst mistake I made for a job. Look at other places, like grocery stores, department store, etc. just not the food industry. People are asshats when it comes to food, so it can really piss you off. I have a very short temper when it comes to asshats, so this wasn't the best choice of jobs for me. But by all means, if you can find a place that will hire you, do it! You make your own spending money.

Agreed 100%, did it for 11 years, slaving over a 600 degree broiler for up to 14 hours at +27 and getting food sent back because "the texture was weird" when 9/10 they've never even tried the dish, or people will eat the food then expect a free meal.

I was Sous Chef for all of a month,  never again.

Turn over rate is WAY too high.

When I was Middle/High school, I used to cut lawns (Classic, something like $25 per acre works nice, most people will know their yard size and giving a rate per acre will make you sound more sophisticated for your age and more likely to take you seriously. Remember buying gas is a priority when cutting lawns.), lay brick patios, fix the local older people in the area's computers (You'd be surprised, many people in the 50s and older are willing to give $50 just for simple fixes, upgrades and repairs, clean people's yards (I never clean other's houses as I've never liked being in random people's houses out of nowhere. Many older families whom's kids have moved away can no longer do the work themselves and appreciate the help. Don't ask for money from them, do a good job, after a few times I can almost guarantee they eventually will offer you money.) Wash cars (This is a good one.)

Heck, I even filmed football practices and games for the local high school when I was old enough to work. I made nearly 2 grand working 6 hours a day in the early summer, 3 hours a day 3 days a week during the football season and 4 hours for each game for 2 months. (Plus I did extra like film like Freshmen games for the Freshmen coaches and JV games which normally are never filmed got me bonuses on top of the hours.

Trick is to do what you can and know how to do and do it for a reasonable price. There is always someone near by (Well as long as its semi populated where you are) that remembers being in the same sort of situation growing up and is willing to return the favor to the next generation, and remember where your older and if you have some money you can spend, to try to return the favor to the next generation as well.

I honestly disagree with this, I recall playing Grand Theft Auto (the original) on my PS1 when I was very young (I was born in '97, you do the math). I've always been around violent games growing up and have only just been at the "legal" age to play these kinds of games since last year (Australia has only recently introduced the R18+ rating for video games, before then heavily violent games were straight up banned or thrown a MA15+ rating, GTA being one of these games), IMO it's up to the parents to decide what their children can and cannot play regardless of that child's age.

Back to the original topic at hand though, you could ask for an allowance. Do some chores for your parents, get say $10 every week, it'll soon add up. In addition to this you could also mow lawns, wash cars, walk pets, etc for a bit of extra cash. Just don't do a half arsed job otherwise nobody will want you to do anything for them.

I know your struggle as I'm 13 myself. I have a couple suggestions.

1. Look into some decent cheap PC's. I suggest this build:

2. Do tons of jobs. Your best bet is finding a area with lots of apartment complexes full of seniors. You could offer to run their errands, wash there cars, clean there home, etc.

3. When you get an idea of what to do, advertise, advertise, and advertise.

Best of luck!
