Good stuff, question. This is something I wanted to see happen with the ELS system for sometime, will keying in peoples names into the computer still change your light setup or has that been resolved with 8.0. I find myself rarely checking peoples licenses since I hate when I type in letters that represent their name, but only to find my light setup changed :P

 

I just reconfigured the controls for ELS to use other keys that are not letters. Example, 8, 9, 0 turns on my lights, etc.

 

That way I don't toggle anything when I'm in the computer or typing text chat in game.

Dunno, but I did notice that Lt.Caine "optimized" his cars for ELS V8.0. You can see it in the change log on his default vehicles pack 1 and 2.

NB showed a function in 7.1 where you can deactivate the ELS keys on the spot, I'm assuming that will be carried over to 8.

Am I missing something? the entire video was a shooting minus 15 seconds of the actual mod.

A lot of people said V8 will have damageable cars. Is it true? Coz I didn't see that in this video.

 

At 1:10ish when he's getting out of the car, look at the center of the hood it's crushed into a U shape like he ran into a tree

If you notice his door is open. Note that in ELS 7 the door would glitch and not open because the car would re spawn to make the light combinations. Though this doesnt exactly mean the car will take damage, it makes me think so.

From my stand point of ELS V8, all "ELS Optimized V6/7 will work with V8. Considering all of Lt.Caine's vehicles are available for development use, i have compared and i see very little change.

This will give me a reason to use ELS, as the door bug was the biggest reason why I haven't yet.
