Police Tactics - A Police Officer Simulator

I know there was a >topic about this already, but that's getting close to a year old.

"Police Tactics is a sandbox game that will simulate the life of a police officer, more like a sheriff. The player will have on and off duty days and will be able to pick up a woman or a man for the job and build a career. Since we are aiming for a more detailed gameplay mixing RPG, action and adventure, the game world is set in a small town, where the players also can visit other surroundings areas."

They recently started updating the website again, since they were busy with other projects the past few months. It really is shaping up to be a good game. It isn't a copy of 10-13 or whatever, actually this came first. The main developer of 10-13 started with the Police Tactics but left to do his own thing.

For more information, take a look at their website: http://www.policetacticsgame.com/

  • Thanks for responding with respect and dignity instead of threatening legal action when people talk bad about you, it really is appreciated.

  • Yours is utterly shit premature though.   I guess some people just haven't heard of placeholder models neither. Damn.

  • Honestly the attitude of some people in this thread is disturbing. This project can not be compared to any other project like Police 1013, as this project is confirmed, by way of gameplay footage, to

Definitely looking a lot better than the other ones.

Wow, a upcoming Police Simulator where the developer actually posts a in game screenshot before claiming he's going to make something amazing and change the market!

Seriously though this looks pretty good, needs work but has potential. Will definiatley like to see where this goes.

Help us, help you!

Looks like it needs a bit of work..

It's still in very early stages of development

So it is different than police simulator 10-13?

Yes, this is completely different. The developers of 10-13 and of Police Tactics said some things in the comment section here: http://www.policetacticsgame.com/2014/04/new-crowd-simulation.html

Update shown on the website:

Hello everyone,

This weekend we worked on a few more tests. There are many more features ready for the game: traffic light system is totally done; vehicles respond better to curves and speeds; many objects are already on scene (signs, billboards, vegetation, houses, etc); commercial area; industrial area; many more.

This first map will be a small Town, so we can use for our first game version and also to test all game mechanics. Other systems are still a work in progress: character actions, civilians (car and character) actions, ambulances, etc.
Town and rural areas are also almost done.

We hope to have more info very soon, as we said before, we are waiting for a game event and also some nice negotiations here =)

Check out also the features page, we changed a little bit o/

Have a nice weekend!

Ah, yes, I remember this. Can't believe it's already been almost a year.

Saw their post on FB a week or so back, reminded me of this game again.

Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Looks like it needs a bit of work..

Considering this is pre alpha I think so....

You've been Rick Rolled[/spoiler]

I don't really like the lighting system, but that will probably be changed soon, this has a lot of potential and has a lot of progress already. I can't wait to see how this game turns out, good luck to the devs!

Why are you saying that so early on without the game actually finished or closer to it being released? That's pretty damn sad.

Because I am not a fan of Cadillac's or big bulky rotator bars, it is clear from this very early screen shot that this guy doesn't know much about law enforcement, why would you choose a Cadillac as your vehicle when you are trying establish yourself as a police simulator? it's my opinion, you don't see me correcting yours...

Because it's in early stages of developement. Perhaps Alpha. Because it's not finished. Because a lot could still change. It's generally not a great idea value your opinion on a game that isn't even out yet.

So because you don't like the car shown in an extremely early photo, you think the game will be bad? I suggest you read this page to get a better idea of what the game will be instead of judging it based on an early version of a car: http://www.policetacticsgame.com/p/features-list.html

Also, you could inform them of your opinion by commenting on one of the posts on the website. They seem to be very open to community feedback.

I'm with will and Olanov here. Why are you bashing a game based on one car shown?

I think this could be nice, a lot better than some other police sim we have seen....

Invenio, Investigatio, Imperium

I agree with Olanov, willpv23, & ineseri here.
That's like saying, "Hey, I don't like the very early alpha Esperanto in GTA:IV. So, why should I even play GTA:IV?"

Also, how could we know, maybe the Caddy is just a test vehicle, a quick render of a random vehicle to check test basic systems on, & then when the time comes for actually getting various other HQ vehicles in the game, it will be removed?
