Plain clothes cops

Featured Replies

Hello everyone I'm just making this thread to ask a random question about plain clothes cops. I would like to know how to use them in lcpdfr. I know plain clothes police don't have the same task as uniform cops. I just want some tips on how to use them properly in order to create a more real life type role play.

Use them while driving undercover, patrolling high gang areas, prostitution,

''A quiet man, is a thinking man. A quiet woman, is usually mad.''

There is a pack on this site that changes all the cops in the game; better textures, uniforms, equipment and badges (I don;t think it changes the fat cops though).  It's really done very well.  Point being, it has really nicely done FBI as well as undercover peds...far better than the stock models.  I'll try to dig it up in a bit.

I use undercover for bait car, gang and prostitution.  For some ALPR notifications I'll pull over the car, like stolen or sometime drunk drivers.  I'll blow off the small stuff though.  Also, you'll see random drug deals going on in the city, I look closely for those instances as well.

I don't mess with speeders, disturbance call-outs, most ALPR notifications, ect.  I leave that to the Sheriff and NYPD.

Prostitution usually is carried on by.. Prostitutes :D At night there are plenty of them on corners, and sometimes a car stops and a girl gets in. When you see that, you certainly can pull them over. Be aware, though. For some reason the most part of my deaths happens in those traffic stops, sometimes hookers and customers pack too much heat.

Drug deals - there's an ambient scenario involving two men standing next to each other acting suspiciously, though I never saw that, and a call out "a drug deal in the area".

Hastings is correct, although the drug deals can be male or female.  I've had a few busts with these drug deals, usually one or both will run.

You just keep a close eye on groups and you'll see a hand-off and the camera will focus on the event as well, if focus is turned on.  You can order both peds to stop, one at a time and sometimes they will.  Then you can search and arrest.

If they both continue to run, then ALT+E when aiming at the perp will mark the ped as a suspect and all cops in the area will give chase, while you handle the other ped.

There is a ped model, I think its by F5544 which I use and its great for plain clothes stuff. Its 2 models with badges around their necks and another with jeans, plain shirt, a vest and a gun. Its all contained within one ped though which is nice and you can just change it through the trainer. I use them for taking drug related callouts, reverse prostitution stings, watching for prostitutes to be picked up (make sure you pull them over quickly after because they have a tendency to disappear or change peds if you wait to long or get to far away), and even traffic stops

YES. I've noticed that when I stop people for prostitution, they almost always run or shoot me. I play hardcore, so it's a guaranteed death. Does anyone know that if they are shooting, if I can call it a pursuit (ALT + E)? I've never tried it.

You can target the car and call it in, yes, Not sure if that saves you from dying ;)
