Question to all with Windows 8.1 and LCPDFR 1.0

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My question to all is do you have issues with LCPDFR 1.0 and the Game crashing at random quite often? Not sure if I should try Windows 7 as I have reinstalled Windows 8 and GTAIV and still crash...

Regards,

Dylan - DCP1293

No problems here. Any crashes I have are due to car mods.

Just tested on a clean copy of Windows 8.1, Fresh install of GTAIV and LCPDFR1.0a and still crash... This is the most odd thing I have ever seen.  No other mods installed and all Windows drivers are up to date.

DCP, I haven't been able to run LCPDFR v1.0 lately either. I did some extensive testing, fresh installations with no mods but LCPDFR v1.0, crashing about 5 minutes in at the most.

I haven't been able to play GTAIV in a while, been so occupied with school to completely reinstall the OS which is the solution I've been looking at (I need to get around to it anyways).

I'm not saying LCPDFR is unstable by any means and I love the mod but it is the only one causing me to crash all the time which means either my GTAIV copy is some how not compatible, It just hates Windows 8 or something else is the cause... Been trying everything to solve it over the past three weeks..

Okay, I did a bit more testing by removing 1.0a and installing 0.95 and have no issues whatsoever other than the occasional pullover script crash which I have always had... Not sure what could be causing 1.0a to crash my game...

Did the same test will mods and had the same result.

That's the exact problem I have. I can install all the mods + LCPDFR v0.95 and everything works splendid, but as soon as you add LCPDFR v1.0 it crashes.

Yeah... I just wont be able to record the mod anymore until it is resolved, It is something mod/script or other file related that they don't even know of, I would just play 0.95 but it is so bad compared to 1.0 haha

There clearly is an issue with game or driver compatibility in some way even though logs may not show it. Been around coding and programs long enough to know, I love the mod so I hope it is resolved at some point.

Hi, i have Windows 8.1 and I've been running fine with no issues, recording for over an hour using Bandicam and it runs fast with a lot of mods on it. It only crash when ELS and LCPDFR does not co-ordinates. Just make sure the Compatibility Mode is set to Windows 7 in the file GTA.exe in the GTA IV Folder. Hope it helps
