Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it sounds like anything above ver .3 is unplayable?

 

Currently this is correct yet.

I'll hold off releasing another version now until we've ensured 0.3a is stable, this will mean waiting for a patch fix for LCPDFR.

 

I apologise to anyone who is having issues with versions 0.3a and 0.3.1a, I am aware it is causing severe instability right now, hopefully a new patch fix for LCPDFR will clear up this issue.

When the patch fix is applied to LCPDFR I will run a thorough re-test of all features to date (with future version 0.4a) and release it when stable.

Love the script. Having issues with pursuits, other then that its awesome.

Would love to see some sort of gang shootouts, or when you go to a gang area like Hove Beach or Chinatown gang members start shooting at the cops. If possible.

I'm glad you like it, yes pursuits are an issue at the moment, as I stated in my last comment above it's not an issue with my plugin directly.

 

As for the gang shootout I don't really need to implement it, LCPDFR already has a gang shootout scenario in which the mafia is shooting against the biker gang (I think). Additionally GTA IV has some dynamics to it which feed through into LCPDFR in which if you fire a gun and there is a gang member nearby they will begin to target the player. So by matter of technicality gang shootouts are already possible.

 

I'm working on other stuff though, to better suit the needs of a beat cop/patrolling traffic cop.

Hi Luke,

there's a problem with the car removal. Can you please let the cop car spawn on a street? I tried that part several times but the car spawns anywhere, mostly in some backyard where they don't find a way out or it even spawns in the water.

Unfortunately there is no way to dismiss the involved cops as a workaround.

No there is not. Because to GTA IV a back alley is a perfectly legitimate street to spawn on.

I will add a dismissal system in place for the next release. But that will be after LCPDFR 1.0c now.

So you call the Vehicle.PlaceOnNextStreetProperly() method? I'm asking because I use this method in my UndertakerService mod and the undertaker always spawns on a street.

Yes, yes I do. So does my paramedic, and all of my callouts which spawn vehicles. Because I have witnessed them spawn in the water or on a house several times when not using that method. I had it spawn on top of a petrol station once when I wasn't using that method.

It would be cool to see some thing like the terrorist thing but instead of one person he has, its like a whole crew fucking people up.

I actually saw that and was really thinking about it.

These callouts are kinda ehhh. probably 40% of the time you respond to a terrorist it fails.

The bomb hardly is "true". And reviving a pedestrian is boring.

Looking for action. Gonna have to do it.

It was my feedback.

In case you hadn't noticed, ineseri does some beta testing for me and get's to know what I'm up to usually. Including crashes, bugs I have etc. He's usually been at the end of the odd rant when something just refuses to work for me. 

 

While I do massively appreciate all kinds of feedback, ineseri's answer here for the time being is actually correct. I'm working on less callouts and more special features, extra's and so on. It's all well and good having hundreds of different callouts, but there is only so many that can be done before either two plugins collide with each other (I made that first, no you didn't I did etc) or before LCPDFR inherits an idea and makes it better.

 

So I am adding different things, not just callouts, to keep this plugin alive and fun to use, and to give the player a wider variety of things to do when patrolling the mean streets of LC.

 

Please by the way, don't think I'm being mean or having a go at you. I'm not, I'm just merely providing extra information on top of what ineseri has said. Hopefully it will provide some context to you all as to where this plugin is currently going :)

 

Oh, and as for you reverting to 0.2a. That's absolutely fine, most people have. Once LCPDFR 1.0c is out I will be able to utilize it in the hope the plugin problems have been fixed :)

I'm keeping off the large scale events for the current time, and working on more realism and features. Generally speaking you don't get a callout to a bomb threat every couple of minutes if you're a real cop. You get callouts to thieves, dangerous driving, attacks on pedestrians, stolen vehicles, people behaving badly, criminal damage etc etc.

So...you want a guy with a gun going ape sh** in a hospital/enterable building? As said in my above comment in this post, I'm keeping away from large scale events for the time being. But your request is noted.
