Okay I've found out what went wrong. It doesn't accept apostrophes. I finally managed to register, so great work by the way. :biggrin: If it's anything helpful, here is the error message I got.

How so?

Braveheart,

I just discovered this tool and it is amazing; I was actually just thinking today that I wished there were something like it.

I do have 1 question for you, is there a way to create a private log in session with this tool? For example, I play with an active role play community in private game matches. It would be great if we could incorporate this tool into our games, but that means we'd like to only see our members in the system instead of other random players that aren't on our server. I didn't know if it was possible or would be possible in the future to create this sort of private session.

Thanks again for the great work and I look forward to seeing what becomes of it.

There's no way of doing that at the moment. I may consider trying to do that in the future. Reason why I asked - in my original post - if anyone was interested in founding a 'virtual police force' was because I was going to customise and make the system exclusive for us and any memers.

Hey Braveheart, thanks for the quick reply, and again, awesome work.

If you're interesting a virtual police force you should check out Ocean View Virtual Emergency Services; that's where I'm a member.

http://www.ov-virtual.org

We use the island of Alderney to simulate the operations of a fictitious city called "Ocean View". Not only do we have a full police department including SWAT, Detectives, and an Aviation Unit, we also have a dedicated Fire/EMS department.

If you're looking for an active role play community for GTA IV, I highly recommend you check out Ocean View.

Again, great work on the police computer mod, I can't wait to see what else you can do with it.

Ah yes I have seen your website before. The arranged times are not suitable for me.

I have been using this tool for the past 3 hours VIA TeamViewer onto my sister's computer since it won't load up on any of mine.

I have a few ideas and thoughts I'd like to post but don't have much time, so I just wanted to say how good of a job you did.

Ah yes I have seen your website before. The arranged times are not suitable for me.

The arranged times on the website are not the only times we play. We pretty much get a game going anytime there are enough people online, which usually happens 3 or 4 times every day.

Would anyone be interested in roleplaying as a prosecutor? As you all (should) know, the police do not prosecute, prosecution is the responsibility of the crown/district attorney. What happens is an approved reporting agency (such as the police) submit a report to the prosecutor, who then decides if there is enough evidence to pursue the charge(s) and if charging the accused is in the public interest. Some times prosecutors can issue fines, but if a higher fine, jail term, community service etc is more appropriate a court hearing is requested.

So what I would look to do is mark some accounts with "Prosecutor" status which would allow them to work crime reports. They would be responsible for:

Deciding whether or not to pursue charges put fourth in crime reports by officers based on evidence quality and public interest;

Deciding if a fine or court hearing is appropriate for the case;

Deciding the outcome of the case.

They could also ping crime reports back to officers if further inquiry is required to obtain more evidence and finalise and file reports after prosecution or a decision has been reached.

I'll take on a prosecutor's job (My wife's grandfather was a DA and her father's a cop in ID, so...) please, lemme know if there's any guidelines. If you want my account name, Kilgannon on there. I'm more interested in the prosecutor side (as the comp I'm on ATM is veeeery finnicky as to what it wants to run, plus I'm better at working stuff out.)

love the system, this really enhances the LCPDFR experience totally. Thank you so much for this. Im Currently from the UK and the times from ocean view dont sit well with me either, although its a brillient community. Im intrested in joining/helping with if you need a virtual police force, for seriouse roleplayers. Otherwise Brillient mod mate, thank you

Just checking, this.. currently.......... does not integrate "into" the game, but rather you alt-tab out, and update the info as you go... (for reports like actual officers do?)

How does the "outstanding calls" work? does that somehow actually start a call in my game for me to respond to?

You are correct it doesn't integrate into the game (I don't have the capability to do so unfortunately). It's 100% roleplay. The outstanding calls are there to give you a base to work from. The rest is up to you when you arrive to roleplay.
