duster911 reacted to Sam in LCDPFR Community Team and Staffing UpdatesRecent changes to the Community Team, social media, staffing and more.
There have been quite a few changes to the LCDPFR Community Team as of late and I figured that now we've just strengthened the team some more, it would be a good time to provide a little update on what's happening.
Firstly, we are going to be creating a public relations section of some sort within the Community Team that we anticipate will give us some new capabilities when it comes to keeping everyone up to date and informed about changes over time. We do hope to establish a Facebook and Twitter presence shortly which we hope will allow us to provide small, but important updates that sometimes go unreported in this news section. Secondly, we're hoping to raise the profile of the mod even more as after enabling Facebook and Twitter registrations on the site, we're averaging over 120 registrations a day so there are clearly a lot of people who we think we'd be able to reach out to and promote to the mod to by establishing ourselves on social media - something which we've never done before.
Secondly, there have been a few new additions to the staffing here on LCPDFR which haven't really been announced, so I hope that everyone will join with me in welcoming some of our newer staff on lcpdfr.com, NicolaiB, Penguin2254 and James. As you probably know, James and Penguin were both at one point in time section directors of the gtapolicemods.com public relations department. Both James and Penguin are well experienced in most aspects of website promotion and relations work, and will be working shortly to help take this mod and it's great community even further. As for Nicolai B, most of you will probably know him from his amazing YouTube videos which never fail to deliver. NB has built up a subscriber base of 3,000, accumulated over 2.35 million total views throughout all his videos and helped to publicise the mod in ways I never could.
As for LCPDFR 0.95, we are making good progress towards releasing a second RC version which we hope will address some annoying bugs relating to callouts, as well as include some cool new features and enhancements to existing ones.
Finally, I'd just like to finish this post by thanking you all for your continued support of the project as a whole, and for making our community one of the most vibrant and certainly the most friendly police related modding site there is. Because of everyone here, lcpdfr.com truly is a special environment which thrives throughout the day, every day.
Sam.

As Brave said, this MDC system does not actually "integrate" into the game. When you accept a 911 call VIA "Outstanding Calls" you would go to your in game map and find the location, mark it and respond how you would respond in real life, IE: CODE 3, CODE 2, CODE 1. Once you arrive at the scene depending on the call you can find the individual that matches (if any) the description in the original call. You would then go "Generate" the person VIA the site. The person's information that the CrimeGen MDC creates would be the name, DOB and Address of that person.
You would then search the suspect(s) up in the "Persons Check" and then go from there.
If you have any direct questions about how to "use" or "operate" the MDC, let me know I'd love to help you out.
EDIT:
Also, that is just how I do it, you don't actually have to go how they would in real life. You can do what you want how you want, you aren't bound by regulations ;)

duster911 reacted to elpapichulo in 0.95 Beta 1 Crashes0.95 Beta 1 crashes after 10-20 mins of game time. I know it's a beta and i know it's been reported. Just wondering if they're planning to post a new release fixing this any time soon because even though it's a great mod, can't really play it if it crashes right away. Any comments on that?

duster911 reacted to iod97 in LCPDFR Different Model Taxi BugHello, well I got LCPDFR and I changed my model to a cop, as usual, but when I decide to use a taxi, I can't, and when I try to use a taxi as Niko, it still doesn't work!
Can I please have some assistance?

duster911 reacted to Spacetime in Some questionsThanks for the intel, congratulations again on a job well done! I understand why you are keeping the number low, too bad though... Would've loved to see how it works, maybe even add in. Perhaps someday
Looking forward to future releases and make the suicide guy more keen to reason, he always ends up putting a bullet in his head (dropping on the ground, same)

duster911 reacted to Synapt in Illumination ModNo idea where to ask this, but since it's marked as a G17 project, I figure I'll ask here.
So I've been using This mod a bit lately with First Response/ELS, and while it's nice it's pretty limited if you mod vehicles at all it seems. Are there going to be any updates for this ever (As that page I linked says its "Final" already), or at least a way perhaps to let others of us mod it?
Main reason I ask is because I use the LCPD K9 unit in place of the NOOSE cruiser, and the traffic advisory lights and the grill lights obviously are out of place, where as it'd be nice if I'd be able to do something with it so I could actually make it use the effects of ELS on that car, particularly the yellow LED blocks on the actual strobe bar rather than the particle strobes (which tend to flash a bit 'off' the actual strobe bar location).

duster911 reacted to Cyan in More MissionsWe were thinking of adding some sort of system where you can create your own missions by coding mission INI files.
