EDIT 18/12/2011

I'm very pleased to announce that the LCPD:FR staff have kindly allowed me to move the system to their servers!! So, effective immediately, please access the following link to get to the system:

mdc.lcpdfr.com

Report bugs at: mdc.lcpdfr.com/report_bug.php

(Make sure it hasn't already been reported: http://mdc.lcpdfr.com/view_bugs.php)

The report a bug and view bugs links can also be found at the bottom of the index page (outstanding calls).

EDIT 06/11/2011

Please ensure you read the details after logging in before using the system. The main point being please use the "Generate person(s) at incident" on the My Inquiries page to generate ALL persons details you use in your work. using them means it builds up a virtual record for each person which other officers can access via person checks etc.

Avoid making up or using persons' details from LCPD:FR in this tool.

Use the "Generate person(s) at incident" tool for persons' details.

Please do report any bugs you find. And have fun!

Original message: I'm not sure if I've posted this here before or not, I can't seem to find it. I have posted it on GTApolicemods.com. It was originally made to go hand in hand with LCPD:FR so I'll post it here too.

I thoroughly enjoy LCPD:FR and I like to take the game one step further by role-playing. Now I'm not the best programmer nor have I any intentions to be a programmer, however I wanted more detailed calls in the game and I decided to try and make something, from scratch. So after a little reading up on HTML and PHP I had a go, and this is what I came up with.

Let me know your thoughts and any suggestions. I do plan on adding more calls and other things when time prevails. I suppose it's more suited to an online environment - would anyone be interested in founding a "virtual police force"?

EDIT: You'll now need to register your own file, the test account has been closed.

You did already post this indeed, but it has been quite a long time. As a roleplaying enthousiast, I was excited about it then and I am still today. It's a great idea and does take the game a step further when implemented properly. Maybe you should take this to the devs? They could tell you if it could be implemented.

As for a virtual police force, that could be exciting as well.

"Dura lex, sed lex"

I really like this tool, pretty neat. I borrowed the wife's netbook last night and set it up beside me to have an 'MDT'(Shh don't tell her).

I would like to see a proper login for each officer, then when I attach myself to a call it would show up in my incidents area.

Another would be to come up with a database of dispositions available to the officer and perhaps make them editable for each officer. Say, have a database of in-service, out of service, on location, call complete(With further dispositions of Arrest, Summons issued, Warning, Citation, Report Written, Unable to locate, False complaint, Assignment complete), etc. When I say editable I mean let the officer assign a code for each disposition. In my area they use 10 codes for each major disposition and letter's for each call complete disposition. It could be stored to that officer's database and then in the reporting area you could simply check off your disposition code and it would report it to the rest of the users in plain text(IE: For myself I'd use 10-8 ADAM for in-service, arrest made) and it would show that as my last call in the incident reporting area and at the end of any report written for the call. If that is too much then just adding plain text dispositions would be great.

Eventually this would be good to port to an application, one that could run full screen(For users like me who would prefer to run it on another computer while playing) or windowed for those who have to switch applications. Call assignments could be assigned by dispatch(just text, too much work for audio and it would become boring to hear the same exact dispatch over and over) for officers in-service and sounds could be added to mimic the alert sounds that an MDT makes when an officer takes a call. A map would be cool too, it could be divided into smaller districts within the sections, so those of us not familiar with street names would have a better idea of where the call is coming from. After the map is implemented I'd be happy to help out with adding names for the various streets.

It really is too bad that multiplayer for IV w/mods is basic at best. This would make an awesome component to a role play server. That said, I think this is going to add a lot to my single player gaming. I patrol my beat and leave myself in-service in game and listen to the dispatch for priority calls and in the mean time I generate incidents through this tool for non-priority calls. It adds a part of the game I've been looking for. It gets boring speeding from one location to another code 3, going from one shooting to another. Role playing that you're responding to a call is boring when you have to think of everything yourself and takes the fun out of the randomness of calls. This has managed to change that up.

I enjoy what you've made so far and I look forward to the future implementations of this tool.

Nice web.

I've added logins for each officer, you will have to register from the main page. I'll be removing the test account shortly. I'll also be working on the status updates for each unit which I quite like the sound of.

Are the calls showed on the webpage events that are actually happening in-game? I am new to the whole LCPD First Response thing, I normally play on LSRP.. What's the multiplayer like here?

And I would love to help you out with founding a virtual police force, It'd be fully roleplay, we'd have our own teamspeak with binds set up where we could switch to pursuit channels and things like that, I have alot of great ideas for this. Let me know.

How long does it take to authenticate a new login? I've tried registering but my account hasn't been activated yet and the test login doesn't work for me any longer

What's your Officer ID? I think your password may have been altered to stop "mysql injections" which I had spend quite a bit of time trying to stop, as I said I'm not a programmer so I've had to do a lot of research. Time well spend in my days off? Haha. But what I'll do is delete your account and try re-registering.

Also, calls are now added to your personal inquiries! I'm still working on it so bare with me if the thing starts moaning about error this and that, I'll post back when I've finished.

Further updates:

You can now submit incident updates for cases in your work basket, you can also submit a crime report for cases which will automatically store and then remove the details from your inquiries.

Anything else anyone would like to see added?

Can you have a simple demo so we could just see what it is like before signing up? For example, how community-based is it (do you work with the other people who sign up?)

Sure, sign in with:

testaccount

password123

The idea is to try and simulate a working police system in which other officers are also contributing to, you can see what other officers are doing.

Cool! I just tried it out, and I think I will start using it!

If this could be integrated w/LCPDFR, that would be awesome. We could even maybe type out reports on the computer.
