Tired of it looking like you're on your phone when you use the radio? Tired of the chest radio animation looking more like a gang symbol rather than an officer grabbing their radio? Does your ai dispatch plugin not have in-car animations? Well look no further! With the release of Radio Roleplay all that is possible and more.
Radio Roleplay is an immersive radio-animation plugin for Grand Theft Auto V, designed for use with RagePluginHook and LSPDFR. It allows players to perform configurable police radio animations using a push-to-talk-style keybind.
Players can choose between shoulder microphones, chest microphones, handheld radios, earpiece poses, other custom animations, and dedicated in-car radio animations (with configurability). When the configured key is held, the selected animation begins and the character’s mouth moves to simulate speaking. Releasing the key immediately ends the transmission. This is to mimic PTT behavior that dispatch plugins like GrammarPolice or NexusDisptach use. Wouldn't fit the aesthetic if it didn't function like this.
The plugin includes a fully functional menu with separate pages for regular and in-car animations, plugin settings, (debug) notifications, modifier keys, and animation selection. All selections and controls are saved through the included INI configuration.
Dedicated in-car animations activate automatically inside police vehicles. When the player is seated in a civilian vehicle, Radio Roleplay instead uses their selected regular animation (also known as on-foot animations). Configurable animation start and hold positions allow in-car poses to skip unwanted movement and remain naturally positioned near the character’s mouth (this can also be edited in the ini).
Some of the Current Features listed:
Custom YCD animation support
Support with both handheld radio animations
Police-vehicle detection
Independent and no longer requires replacement of the vanilla animations used by LSPDFR
Detailed RagePluginHook diagnostic logging (in a future update soon I'll make this a boolean that way it can be disabled if you think you don't need it)
Simple Video Showcasing's
On-foot Animation Showcase (LSPDFR Unloaded)
In-car Animation Showcase (now only plays if inside a police car / vehicle)
On-foot Animation Showcase (LSPDFR Loaded)
Author's Note:
Currently if you install a new handheld radio animation the walkie talkie prop will fail to spawn. If you want to add a new handheld radio animation reach out to StanMan420. He'll help you get the offsets (the digits required so the plugin can spawn the prop in the right spot in your hand) so I can implement that into the plugin. In a future update I may add a workaround for this or allow you guys to do it yourself through the menu.

Known Issue's:
A user has reported that the public release causes crashes with cellphone calls. We are looking into this now to see what may be happening. It's also understood that the original version "Updated Radio Animations for Grammar Police" had this issue as well. Currently as a hotfix if you experience this you should use GameplayFixesV or try out the FreeMyController mod. GameplayFixesV can disable your phone entirely through it's ini. FreeMyController is listed because a user reported this as a hotfix for the previous version of this mod.

What's New in Version v3.3.2
Released
SMALL RUNDOWN OF MAJOR CHANGES
The release of Radio Roleplay. A new plugin now bundled with several animations.
Now everything is fully and easily customizable.
No more dependency on LSPDFR and their code. Previously StankMan ran into multiple issues trying to convert custom animations too fit in vanilla slots.
Light-weight plugin made to be used with any dispatch plugin for lspdfr. Just set your "actions" to none in the police page after opening LSPDFR's character menu.
Fits the law-enforcement aesthetic very well.
In-car radio animations are now a thing & FULLY CUSTOMIZEABLE (previously grammar police was the only plugin that had this).
