Please stop that camera focusing on an event

Whenever there's something happening around me the camera turns towards this and I have an accident because I can't see the eff where I'm driving!
Could you please turn this automatic event camera off or make it optional?

I think there a much bigger things to worry about, please fix the bugs and crashes before worrying about minor things such as this.

  • Maybe it can just be toggle-able in the  configuration file. I also seem to have the camera lock in place sometimes after accessing the MDT and I think it's related to the event-focus function.

  • We'll definitely fix this so it doesn't interrupt you at important times.

Thats another +1 by me.

I think it is better when we have to look and see where its going on. Instead of focusing on the event as if its what we have to focus on. Also agree we should let them focus on bugs and other fixes first.

I'm not going to repeat of what you all sad above  It It's cool to have camera focusing on an event and It always happens at an bad time where I'm going over 95km then crash into another car in front or crash into an wall/light post. It's an good idea and a bad idea to have an Camera focus. But It's not important.. as to fixing other bugs and game crashes the we keep getting

Definitely agree with all of the above. Bigger problems first then the smaller issues. Now this could just be me but I never really saw the point of the camera to be honest I mean as long as the event shows up on the mini map as either a red/white circle and the offender has a red arrow above his head or something like usual I'll be all happy :).

Yes of course you guys are right about fixing the bigger problems first. I'm a developer myself and I would also have this way down on my backlog. it was just one of that occasions and it got me pretty annoyed at this time and I thought I let you know how I think about this feature. I was just venting.
I was in the middle of a high speed chase. Suddenly the camera went away, I crashed and the criminal escaped.

Maybe it can just be toggle-able in the  configuration file. I also seem to have the camera lock in place sometimes after accessing the MDT and I think it's related to the event-focus function.

Yeah it would be better if there was an option to turn it off in this INI files. I have had many accidents where i have rear ended another car because of the camera positioning

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

If I can be indulged for a little bump here, I believe this feature is actually moderately high priority, not something that can wait while we focus on "major bugs", because this feature actually causes a major bug due to a mod incompatibility.  When I'm using the FirstPerson mod, the camera fix onto an event frequently crashes.  I've already had to give up on the Policing.net.dll, among others, because of this.

Since it's as simple as an INI file setting and a conditional in the code, it wouldn't take much time -- if any -- from bugfixing either. ;-)

We'll definitely fix this so it doesn't interrupt you at important times.

GOD YES!!! I was about to start a thread on this very thing. It's horrible.
