Few questions about LCPDFR 1.0

Featured Replies

Alright so what really irritates me most of the time, is when I pull some1 over, my character always uses those really douchy "pull over" megaphone lines. Is there any way to disable that, other then muting the player?

Another question is if we could get rid of the stupid hand animation, when carrying a pistol. It doesn't even work properly, sometimes I get it unarmed, and sometimes I don't even get it when I have a pistol. It also messes up the aiming. Every time you wanna shoot, the weapon gets lowered for half a second, then comes back.

Another thing I noticed is that when we ask a person to get out of the car, we usually still have to deal with him/her, like giving citation/warning or arrest them. The only way I can interact with the person is if I aim my gun at him, press the arrest key, and then hold the arrest key, so I can give him/her a citation. So can you guys fix this in the next update of lcpdfr?

I don't think there's any way to disable the sound, other than using the SNT and muting the player (or if you really hate them, edit the soundfiles themselves). I also don't think there's any way to disable the animations, but I haven't experienced any issues with them.

To interact with any ped, you don't have to aim at that ped with a gun, you just have to aim and hold aim, and follow the various onscreen prompts.

I seem to have been ninja'd twice while writing this. Well gee :p

EDIT: LMS has stated that there is a patch inbound, maybe it will come with some new features.

Sometimes, it only happens when you order them to get out of the car. After that you can't aim at them, only with a gun (the healthbar and shit doesn't appear). That's my issue.

Well I hope the patch will also fix the arrest crashes. I'll be waiting eagerly.

As far as targeting peds without a gun: What about passengers in cars? I can't seem to target them while in melee if they are in the passenger seat. (For example: if the passenger has a warrant and I want them to exit.)

I'll look into the arresting thing, although traffic stops aren't something we can change right now.  Perhaps in a later version we might rework how they are initiated.

"You tell me exactly what you want, and I will very carefully explain to you why it cannot be."

I've never had a problem with this. I aim at a guy in the car, other than the driver, and press E a couple times and get the ped to leave the vehicle and I can unarmed aim and press/longpress E and do stuff with the ped.

Yeah, it's the same here but all computers are different I guess.

I guess so! Lol, I never had an issue with ELS v6, which was supposed to be very unstable, and I never had/have any of the issues with LCPDFR that most people have. lol.

Alright to help you recreate this. When you pullover someone and a ped has like 3 or more citations, you would order him out of the car, and you would still want to give him another citation for the law he broke (or at least a warning).

So this bug thing happens when I press F10 to get him out of the car. He gets out, and sometimes while I'm unarmed, I can't select him with the right mouse button.

Hmmm... this is interestig.... so how do you 'aim' at someone unarmed? I wuld like to arrest the ped or at least question him/her without my gun drawn as a bit intimidating!

As for editing the sound, is there a list of sound files linked to peds? I could work on that...

I've never had more then 1 person in a car, I'm guessing because I play in MP, so it's the driver. Also I always approach the car from the right (so he does shimmy onto the other passenger seat).

Also another question would be, how can I disable the dispatch radio sound without deleting or renaming the folder, because I don't really like it, and also it gives me these cracking noises when it changes audio file. (Like: *crack* all units *crack* we got a *crack* blue *crack* etc.)
