OFFICIAL Safer Liberty City Mod Thread

Hi this is probably in the wrong section, but I'm planning on making my first mod called Safer Liberty City. I've been part of the community for 2-3 years and I think its time I make something for the community. Safer Liberty City would include things more traffic signals (traffic lights) speed bumps in residential areas. Should I make this or would it be pointless? Post below what you think and any other things I could add to make Liberty City Safer. Quote this post so I'm notified when you have posted. Thanks.

It's never, ever, pointless to make a decent mod.  This one sounds decent.

Well the Traffic Signals I can do but the Speed Bumps I'll have to check to see if there is any good objects to make them with.

Bloody hell mate the traffic in LC is one of the most obnoxious things in the game... just make sure you do a good job of it and we'd all want to try it out

One thing I've always thought was missing was speed limit signs. It would prob take years to find out the normal speed on a vehicle. But I think it would be a cool addition.

Speed bumps you say? I'd sure love that as I don't think GTA actually has any by default, and are you gonna make this using a trainer? If so, thats probably not a good idea, just saying. Also, are you just editing the map, or actually changing AI?

Liberty City definitely needs more and better placed traffic lights, like the ones in GTA V. If you're driving in first person u can barely see the traffic lights, so if your mod changes that I'd be really happy

I don't really know. I'm going to need a lot of help with the speed bumps because that could be done my editing the map which I don't have a clue how to do it.

It definitely does that, that's the only thing ive done at the moment on one of the long streets in Algonquin. There is also more Crossing lights for peds.

How would the script work? Do you mean something like this: Script stops cars at a junction with no traffic signals and cars wait until its clear to go? Could you explain a bit more what the script could/would do.

Well it could do that. I dont know what you want the script to do, I was just asking if this mod is going to be a script mod or an object mod

Ok I suppose it would be both, more traffic signals and signs with objects and a script to stop cars at the extra junctions I would create.

Also Make sure traffic cops are out there enforcing traffic. Next crossing guards to help pedrestrians

Ok thanks for the tip. I'll probably only do the Objects and try and find others to help with the Speed Bumps and Script.
