-snip-

Just saw the post about them working on stuff, and thats why they arent replying to some stuff. Continue doing what your doing, it will get fixed eventually. It just really bothers me when an amazing upgrade from the previous mod version comes out but I cant play it due to crashing every 5 minutes.

Same problem here, completely unplayable...dev team doesnt seem to know what to do, considering they arent doing many replies. I guess its a waiting game until a new patch comes out.

I don't think that's a fair statement at all; have you looked at the support board and seen just how many threads there are? Sifting through this stuff takes time.

Yeah, go take a look through my post history, here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=forums&mid=12&sid=d9d5690e7a112f7d00d8ba7c84ad2f2e&search_app_filters[forums][searchInKey]=&userMode=content

Then, you can go and take a look through LMS' post history here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity&search_app=forums&mid=14&search_app_filters[forums][searchInKey]=&userMode=content

Then go and count up the number of replies we've made to support topics in the last two days.  You'll see that it's over 200.

Then, if you still have the audacity, you can come back here and tell us we aren't doing many replies again.

Chill pill sam, I edited my post, I said this because theres over 10-15 posts about crashing with 0 views and 0 replies, from a day+ ago, one of mine has not many either.

That along with a bunch of other problems, including the taser not functioning. But I'll be one of the patient ones and wait for a fix, as I said.

Its a new mod version, lots of new features I'm going to expect it to be buggy, so before thinking that I came at you like an asshat with that, let me re-phrase by reading my edited post.

Hi, i've encountered the same error with

[ERROR - 9:44:18 PM] [] GTA.NonExistingObjectException: Invalid call to an object that doesn't exist anymore!

   at GTA.Ped.GetOffsetPosition(Vector3 Offset)

   at freval_211.eval_fr7(Vector3 A_0)

   at freval_257.fr8()

   at freval_257.fr1()

   at LCPD_First_Response.Engine.Main.fr2()

I'm not sure if this particular error only occured after i've started using the vdH mods MedicalExaminer, PoliceHelper and towService. I've installed towService at last, so I'm suspecting an incomatibility there. Can anyone getting this error message concur? Especially killerschlumpf, as he started this thread. :)

The taser wasn't working for me either, until I did a clean install, used the automatic installer, and then manually installed the taser by following this: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

With 0.95rc2, I could play for 1-2 hours with no crashes. But with this much better version, it crashes every 15-20 minutes. I had route 66 as a map mod, then took it out, and my error log still says to report to lcpdfr.com. My crashes are the same as OfficerRuiz; It happens at different times. Bummer! I really appreciate the modders taking the time to help everyone that seems to be having trouble with this, I know it will be fixed. we just need to be patient! Oh, and I absolutely LOVE this lcpdfr version. Now we just need els v7.1 to go along with it :)

Okay, so a lot of these look like script errors where LCPDFR is trying to access something that doesn't exist.  I've noticed that there are a few problems with the grabbing script related to this as well.  In most, if not all cases, these errors seem to be more prominent on people who are running the mod, with other mods, on a fairly low spec (as far as GTA IV and 2014 is concerned) system.  In many cases, objects, peds and vehicles simply aren't being created fast enough for LCPDFR's liking. Sometimes this is caused by modifications taking longer to load, like higher poly vehicles or peds, and in other cases it is caused by the game not being able to spawn them fast enough due to a slower system.  Of course, we're partly responsible for this as myself and LMS both have relatively high spec systems.  I developed LCPDFR both on my MacBook and my PC (i5 at something like 4.2 GHz, 8GB of fast RAM, a really good graphics card (a GTX 6-- something) and GTA IV running on an SSD).  I did do some performance tests on my MacBook which is much lower spec than my PC, although I suppose it is still good spec for a laptop, so perhaps it was able to cope better than I expected it to.  I think LMS has even better system than mine, and he was developing all of the core engine, so it's very plausible that a lot of issues are because of this.  Sure, we did have about 12 people testing the mod, and they all have different systems, but by December 15th or so, everyone was reporting that LCPDFR was running well.

One of the things we're going to over the next few development days is add code to preload all of the models that LCPDFR spawns.  This should hopefully fix a lot of problems with things not spawning in time.  Nonetheless, it would be good to know if we're actually on the right lines here, so if you could all give some details about your computers (Processor model and speed, graphics card model and memory size, hard drive type (the one that IV is installed on), RAM amount and speed), that would be great.

For reference, LCPDFR 1.0 runs perfectly on my system;

Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium

Intel Core i5 2500k at 3.30GHz

Nvidia GeForce GTX 550Ti with 1gb of video RAM

8gb of 1600-speed RAM

1 TB Western Digital 7200RPM HDD

killerschlumpf, could you try to remove towservice dll and check if the NonExistingObjectException error still appears? Since I've removed it, I'm not getting this particular error anymore (but others. :) )

The miniumum system requirements for the game are:

  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
  • Memory: 1.5GB

  • Free Hard Drive Space: 16GB

  • Video Card: 256MB NVidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

  • DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card

  • Keyboard

  • Mouse

In both cases, I don't think your systems actually meet the requirements, meaning you shouldn't actually be playing the game - it shouldn't work!
