LCPDFR 1.0 crashes in various situations

My game does fine but right after the first LCPDFR call in my computer crashes?

I've somehow fixed my crashing issues (EFLC), when arresting peds during a traffic stop and issues escorting the peds, which was crashing my game every 5-10 minutes (freval_77 error).  I have had no crashes from that action any longer, only sometimes when I try to escort a ped.  Unfortunately I'm not certain what exactly fixed the crashing issue.  Here is what I did just prior to running the game with nearly zero crashing at this point:

When I installed the game, I did an automatic install, but I decided to look through the manual install zip to see what files I was missing.  Nothing missing, but I did manually replace my current scripthook and xliveless file with the ones included in the manual install zip.  I also deleted a second xlive that was in my main game folder (slightly different file name than xlive...I deleted it so not sure exactly..I think it was xlive_d or something).

I also reverted police1-police4 with lower poly cars models (less than 1meg files), non-els, although I still run ELS on my noose, patriot and fbi AND reverted my main cop peds (the LCPD cops...not my State Troopers, which are still modded up).

After all that, I stated the game and played for over 1.5hrs...arresting peds from traffic stops with no problem, escorting them a few times with no issues, no issues with call-outs, etc.  Game never crashed,  I ended my shift and went home.  Just played another hour or so without crashing at all.

So for what it's worth, try swapping the scripthook and xlive, and drop in some lower poly non-els cars and see how it goes.

Good day and Happy New Years!

When you say swapping your scripthook are you just replacing the scripthook with the same LCPDFR 1.0 scripthook like a refresh method or are you using a different scripthook from another site? Also I've never used the xlive but I'll give that a shot as well.

The one in the manual install zip.  Same with xlive.

My game is still running very well.  I'm about to jump on and see if I can get through an 1-1.5hrs or so (8-10 hour shift, ingame time) without it crashing.

Good luck!

Finally got mine working . I changed some of my car mods, and I'm a complete idiot for not taking out the lcpdfr 0.95 files before installing 1.0. Mine went from crashing every 5 minutes to occasionally (every 45 minutes - an hour)

Okay, so a lot of these look like script errors where LCPDFR is trying to access something that doesn't exist.  I've noticed that there are a few problems with the grabbing script related to this as well.  In most, if not all cases, these errors seem to be more prominent on people who are running the mod, with other mods, on a fairly low spec (as far as GTA IV and 2014 is concerned) system.  In many cases, objects, peds and vehicles simply aren't being created fast enough for LCPDFR's liking. Sometimes this is caused by modifications taking longer to load, like higher poly vehicles or peds, and in other cases it is caused by the game not being able to spawn them fast enough due to a slower system.  Of course, we're partly responsible for this as myself and LMS both have relatively high spec systems.  I developed LCPDFR both on my MacBook and my PC (i5 at something like 4.2 GHz, 8GB of fast RAM, a really good graphics card (a GTX 6-- something) and GTA IV running on an SSD).  I did do some performance tests on my MacBook which is much lower spec than my PC, although I suppose it is still good spec for a laptop, so perhaps it was able to cope better than I expected it to.  I think LMS has even better system than mine, and he was developing all of the core engine, so it's very plausible that a lot of issues are because of this.  Sure, we did have about 12 people testing the mod, and they all have different systems, but by December 15th or so, everyone was reporting that LCPDFR was running well.

One of the things we're going to over the next few development days is add code to preload all of the models that LCPDFR spawns.  This should hopefully fix a lot of problems with things not spawning in time.  Nonetheless, it would be good to know if we're actually on the right lines here, so if you could all give some details about your computers (Processor model and speed, graphics card model and memory size, hard drive type (the one that IV is installed on), RAM amount and speed), that would be great.

Mate that false, These are my Specs and i have that errors.

I think I'm going to put the theory of it being a low end machine issue to rest.  I'm running a vanilla install of LCDPFR on a fresh install of EFLC.  It crashes on various actions in 5-10 minutes every time.

My system specs.

Win 7 64bit
i7 3930K Oc'd to 4.2 Ghz

660ti 3gb X 2 SLI
16gb of Corsair Vengeance Ram
Intel 520 Series 240gb SSD

This system should chew up and spit out almost anything thrown at it.

Disregard this post. Found the problem in the known bugs.

I'm having similar problems. It crashes every 5-8 minutes-ish, seems to be happening particularly when a car crashes, or I get someone to leave their vehicle.

I'm running on almost lowered out settings, even though I have a fairly powerful rig:
OS:

   Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
CPU:

   Intel Core i7 3770K @ 3.50GHz

RAM:
    16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)

GPU:
    2047MB GeForce GTX 680 (MSI)

HDD:

Why not share with the rest of us what fixed your problem?

I would love to, but I did not fix it. I found the exact problem I had (System.InvalidCastException: Unable to cast object of type 'freval_77' to type 'freval_89'.) in the known bugs list. If the development team is already aware of the problem, there is no need to search for further support.

Managed to get 40 mins of gameplay before this: It occurred during a pursuit, just as one suspect bailed on foot and was surrounded by officers, the second suspect continued to make off in a car. Just as I pulled up close to the car....bam:

Seeing as this thread mentions the issue, I'll put in my spec in the hope it helps toward resolving the issue. Also speaking of problems, I had major issues running the game whilst using game booster. Anyone using booster might want to try without, if you are suffering repeated crashes. Or it could just be me.
