I don't really care for multiplayer in GTA IV. What I am saying is: Your title is misleading. It will still crash.

I'd say you were trolling the entire time :) Not relevant to the discussion, but I usually play for 1-2 hours I'd say. I haven't played GTA for about 5 months.

Further discussion about me can be taken to PM.

Actually I have on par or better hardware, depending on if you're an AMD fanboy or not. I have a faster Intel Core i7 processor and a 670 which is about a 5% difference in performance from the 680 on average. This thread is pretty useless, dude. You could've summed it up with a sentence rather than a video. "If you want to play GTA IV well, get an expensive gaming PC."

You don't NEED an expensive PC to play a game at high settings. You can still manage to get a grand computer for less money than probably what you have, but still run at the same FPS on the same settings, with the same mods. I would enjoy knowing how much your current PC costs/costed for you to buy/make it, and I bet you there will be a cheaper version that can run it on the same settings/FPS.

GTA 4 never crashes for me without good reason, and I use a NETBOOK (but its overclocked and has a cooling pad). Instead of buying new hardware, just try and solve the crashes, and actually read the error message, it's there for a reason you know.

Changing hardware does not fix a software issue (like said above).

If you make a typo in one part of the code, compile it and it crashes. It will always crash, no matter if you have a 90 core quantum computer.

If you believe that, take a computer science class.

GTA IV is a 32 bit game, it cant use more than what 4 GBs? The game can use as many cores as its programmed for, usually the technology that exited back when it was designed.

Processors in 2008 were like 4 cores? So GTA IV shouldn't use more than that.

I completely disagree with the quote in your signature/post.

This has turned into a sort of... bragging and troll thread. Should be /closed in my opinion at this point.

People people people, Can't you see what wade is doing, I mean look on his channel his lcpdfr 1.0 video, Think hard on that one and you might figure out:

"Hey lcpdfr 1.0 isnt out yet, and maybe just maybe this man sgt.wade is one of those people who are fishing for viewers with misleading titles."

In my opinion if you have to do things like this you are one sad sad channel. So good people of Lcpdfr dont fuel the fires this man is starting and dont watch his videos.

God damn you're so cocky you make me want to kill babies. Rockstar is not perfect they have made some horrible games and have had horrible coding. Their games will only run as smooth as the coders ability to code... GTA 4 is part of that horrible coding. Can an admin please close this topic and label it bad advice before I buy a plane ticket to punch this guy in the face?

Yes you do, unless the game is old or can run on very low spec hardware.

You can still manage to get a grand computer for less money than probably what you have

Depends on your definition of "grand".

but still run at the same FPS on the same settings, with the same mods.

Probably. My hardware was purchased in April and better parts have come out since, which have made mine, and ones like it cheaper. So yes, you can get a similar or the same computer for less money than what I paid. It's called depreciation. It happens over time.

I would enjoy knowing how much your current PC costs/costed for you to buy/make it

Around $950 or so. Hope that helps.

finally thank you … the whole point was to provide hardware the best you can get for less to get the best pc to run enb gta iv and record mp in a clan.. that is what this all about

and be stable doing it

but the "BEING STABLE PART is like dumb to some people.. i wish i could help them but with all this hate, degradation, and confusion, i digress on the topic, but if anyone else has a computer that wants me to analyze and figure the best way to go about making it better for gta, than sure! but if its for coding… NO

hope i can help - sgtwade

But that ain't what you said. You said 100% No crashes, which is simply false.

But you're failing to understand that GTA IV PC is a bad port. It's always GOING to CRASH even the highest spec gaming pc in the world would still have crashes because of the bad port. It's also all about the modifications you install, like you know?

Hehe I found this quite funny.

To be fair, pretty much every reply here is correct. GTA IV was a poorly coded port for the PC, and even the best computer won't stop crashes.

On another note,

God damn you're so cocky you make me want to kill babies. Rockstar is not perfect they have made some horrible games and have had horrible coding. ^ This sums up how I feel. Perhaps even how a lot of people feel. You really should not make your titles so misleading.

Uhh. yeah that is my point, and I have said that before. Why are you quoting me?

LMMMAAAAAAOOOOOOO.

I disagree that you need an expensive PC to run games on highest settings. Simply not true.

This thread should be closed.

Sgt.Wade, you may as well just stop. This thread isn't going anywhere.
