it is a hate crime but hate crimes are only enforced on the whites do you hear black people get arrested for hate crimes one of the blacks went and tried that to a guy that was picking his daughter up from the school bus a black game up and tried to punch him and missed the white guy pulled out his gun and shot the black twice the black guy has 1 year in jail for that. I have also noticed he news is not making a big deal out of it if it was whites doing that to blacks it would be on the news nonstop

What I got is your warning everyone that is white that African Americans are going around and looking for white people to hit in the head and if they do  try that you should stab them with a knife. This crazy thing is not something new. People are already aware of the fact that when walking around a city, particularly ones with large crime rates, that at any given moment you could be attacked and robbed. What you did is just make a topic about an age old idea of, "Be careful of your surroundings because there is always the risk of someone robbing you." I've done some research on this "knockout game" and it seems to just be teens getting the idea of robbing people in "style" by trying to knock them out with a single punch. Also, saying that "black people will run behind a white person" is, again, very racist. By generalizing all the idiots who play this game as African American you are completely disrespecting anyone who is African American and and doesn't even know what this stupid game is.

It's quite alright. I appreciate your apology and understand what you meant by watching out for the idiot teenagers who do this sort of stuff. It is a shame though that now these days this kind of stuff is considered a sort of game by few people.

Shit, we had something just like this last week, I saw security camera footage of a group "black" teens hitting a 15 year old "white" boy in the head in the parking lot of a gas station, he ended up having a concussion, it was f*cked up but the kid is now alright, I don't know if this is "The Knockout Game" but its not safe and can kill someone, this is assault and a hate crime.

It's a description. While he could've worded it better, he's not saying all black people are doing this, but that in all cases of people playing the knockout game, the perpetrators were black, therefore it is logical to draw the conclusion that a majority of perpetrators playing this racist "game" would be black. That's a statistic.

 

Had this been all white youth doing this to black people, then this would be screamed about in the national media, specifically the white on black racist violence (Remember "White-Hispanic" being constantly repeated?).

Sorry, but that isn't what the media reports as much. White-on-black crime is reported much less often than black-on-white. The more photogenic the victim, the more likely it is to hit the media. Sadly, "photogenic" and "white" have substantial overlap in the US news media.

Also, is there some reason to think this is a real trend? One thing the media LOVES to do is take something relatively which is not a new trend and spin it as the latest scary thing. See: DDOSing (when it's called "hacking"), sexting, shark attacks, etc.

This is just stupid. Why would anyone even do this? For fun? Some people seriously don't have anything better to do than go up and punch random people in the back of the head... Insane.
