Here's the buffalo:

I've gone there over 50 times and not seen this spawn. I'm pretty confident it only triggers after a certain stage in the game.  I've tried everything.

Cool cars, shame they still didn't do the taillights on the CVPI correctly even though Ford no longer produces the car. I'm also sad they didn't change anything about the siren except for the wail tone.

I actually like how they don't copy it exactly, it gives it more personality.

I'm just sick of the square CVPI tail lights in GTA. They've been staring me in the face since the year 2000, and I still can't get them even after another 13 years passes, apparently. Vice City and San Andreas have an excuse based upon what time periods they're based in, the others don't really.

But they aren't CVPIs, they're SPIs (Stainer). All GTA vehicles take inspiration from various real world cars, but they are their own entity, and should be treated as such. R* has crafted a detailed and in-depth satirical world, and they deserve credit for it.

And don't get me wrong, I like the overall look of a CVPI a little more than R*s take, but it doesn't diminish my appreciation of their vehicle design.

This. THIS. They are close to the real deal, but as it is set in a fictional world the cars are also fictional.

I agree with you that I like the CVPI look more, but the cars in GTA V are not horrible. They are great for the game!

Don't forget copyright infringement. If the cars were identical they'd have to pay for rights.

I think the cop cars in GTA5 are excellent. They're realistic but the lighting system is just fantastic in comparison to GTA4 and its predecessors.  It's just a shame you can't do any kind of law enforcement missions in them.

Only thing I wish that they did updated was the yelp and pierce tones to something more updated instead of IV's generic one.

Agreed, BUT - fret not. You can still get yourself a patrol car and do those random PoliceHelper-esque crime events that occur throughout the city. It's not exactly the same, but the idea is there. :)

Off Topic: Would appear EVERYONE is obsessed with cop cars.. I drive one and I'M the wannabe? get real.. thats' ALL I've read about on this site since it came out.. hypocrites..

3.....2.....1 let the flaming of Slimory begin

On topic: They did a better job with the lighting at least.

I see everyone is like 'meh' to the Ford Crown Victoria replica in GTA, but I can't stand it. I hate the Stainer's rectangular taillights and I think that the cab and police cruiser's taillights are just ok. If they kept the headlights the same as they are right now (from one of the older models) and the taillights just resemble the 2011 Crown Victoria's taillights I would be happy. On a better note - am I the only one who likes their equivalent of a Durango? I LOVE it. I love going off-roading on Mt. Chiliad with it and just going North of Vinewood Hills. I find it great in the city too - not as big as the Suburban but still big and still looks great. I think they've done an excellent job with the Durango. I love it.

SCNG FTW!!

That argument wouldn't hold up any longer for the CVPI because they're no longer produced, and you can still have other subtle differences that would make the car different. Look at the GTA IV version of the BMW M3. It looks extremely similar, even the tail lights. I don't bother to mod other cars in the game because the look pretty damn close to the real deal. And I agree with the Rockstar artistry aspect of things, but all I want is some damned curves in the tail lights on a car that isn't produced any longer. They still had 80's looking CVPI's (if you want to call them that) in GTA III even though it was set in the year 2000. Is an update too much to ask after 13 years?

Oh for fuck sakes, it is just a damn game. If you have that big of an issue, go write a strongly worded letter to Rockstar and hope to god they go with it. When the people who cant stop bitching can finally get on a logical thinking basis, Rockstar isnt going to spend millions just so they can actually use real cars. Also, what car company would sign over THEIR rights of THEIR cars and designs over to a company that promotes killing, stealing cars, and etc.. I sure in the hell wouldn't want a car I made in a game like that. We all want the real cars in GTA, who doesnt? Frankiin's Buffalo? I would have loved to had a 2013 Charger in V, but it isn't going to happen. Most of the people accept the fact that it isn't ever going to happen but coming onto LCPDFR just to bitch, I mean come on.
